Amazing! I've gotten so many compliments about my new hair style! The highlights are so intricately done, they look natural. So many people told me how much younger I look. Ali is pricey, but she worth it because she envision the beauty in people and then creates it. Plus, it's cheaper than a medical procedure - LOL, but seriously! Check out her before and after pics. That is why I made an appointment and I am always amazed by the results. Best colorist ever!

Am I happy I stumbled across her on IG - best colorist- best hairdresser- best salon ever in my life - She’s hard to get into but worth the wait - now I pre book and have no problem getting in - everyone says I look younger - so that’s a huge plus, Go go go !! She books by text after reading her website. I found THE ONE. !

The stylist was very informative of what she does and expect. She did a great job with my grays and the highlights were very natural looking

I've had the most wonderful experience at Color Queen Salon, the best in town! The owner Alison, is truly an image professional. I came in with a hair do I had for over 30 years and wasn't sure what I wanted but I knew it was time for a brand new look. She asked me questions, looked at my hair and features and recommended a manageable yet stunning look that truly I would have never picked myself. Now I feel like a new woman! Coming up with the style, being treated to some wine and fulfilling conversation, was wonderful way to spend my few hours with her. The salon is in a convenient location and gives a tranquil, relaxing vibe. The cherry on the top (besides my great new look) was her sweet chihuahua Lulu, sitting on my lap and just chillen with me through the whole process. The aromatherapy scalp massage was by far, amazingly relaxing! The photo shoot afterwards was so good fun! I recommend Ali to anyone and especially our local ladies, she really knows native hair and will make you look and feel like the goddess you are. For all the services she provided, she is the best deal by far. She even gave me tips on how to style my hair when I go home because I am traditionally a wash and wear girl. She even took the time to show me some hair tools on Amazon. It was such a great experience that I made sure to book myself until the end of 2025. After leaving her salon I felt confident that I can carry my new look forward, even my husband was speechless when he saw me. Mahalo nui loa Ali and sweet Lulu!

I finally decided to treat myself to some much needed beauty care after seeing all the fantastic before and after pictures! I always had a hard time telling stylists what I wanted. What I love about Ali is she will ask questions but also has a vision of what will flatter your features and that helps people like me a lot!

I had not been to a salon for over year and was extremely nervous about trying a new person because my hair is very important to me - Ali was friendly , energetic, and explained everything to me to ease my concerns. She even gave me my formula to do my own touch in between visits - it’s a private salon so very relaxing. I’ve been a customer for a year - would highly recommend.

This was the best salon experience i ever had. Best highlights and best cut and color.
Overall the best salon ive ever ben to.
Shes always busy so book early.
Specialties: Alison is a Master Stylist and also an Image Consultant so you get a lot of bang for your buck. My friend said she was pricey but she was way more reasonable than the 4 other fancy salons i had bern too and i absolutely love my color , cut and highlights.
My friends say i look a decade younger.
I love her studio , its spotless , she plays cool tunes . I feel like im having am afternoon with a girl friend. I can tell her anything- oh yea and there is wine!!!
Hair type: I have medium density hair but Alison grew up here so shes well versed in all types !
Stylist: Alison was the most fun and professional hairstylists Ive ever been to.

I've been going to see Allison for about 9 months now, and I am so happy to have found this amazingly skilled master stylist and image consultant. Her salon is tucked away upstairs in a cute building on the hippest street in Honolulu (so great for grabbing a pastry or dinner on the way home after) and she has made it so comfortable. When I came to see Ali, I was going through what I think of as my "second puberty" trying to understand what my overall look is at this age and this stage in my life and career. Ali focused on making me feel confident and emphasized that from that, the rest would follow. I think she's absolutely right. We don't cover my (ever-increasing) greys, she blends them with skillful lowlights and gorgeous tones that fade gracefully over time. The cut is great for my wild curls keeping them from being weighed down. And Allison takes such care to make sure I am comfortable; I love going to see her and treating myself to a true professional's opinion and skills.

This is my third time coming to Allison and I will keep coming back - she is the best hairstylist I have ever met. She does a great job with the cut and the color of my hair every time. She takes her time, doesn't rush and makes me feel taken care of. She's also great to chat with. I really appreciate her all inclusive pricing, I know how much I will pay every time. I highly recommend her.
