Their original premise was keeping de-constructed home debris out of the landfill and they certainly do a great job of that. On a recent trip I was looking for replacement light switches and was pleasantly surprised to find a box of new switches for a bargain $0.20 each. They also get in reclaimed wood from trees as well. This time, they had silver button wood logs so I had to try a piece. It's a very dense wood. On a weekly basis their inventory changes to reflect their most recent saves, It's nice to see new and exotic wood items, as well as one-of-a-kind fixtures from older homes for sale. Overall, it's a great concept and a great place to come and browse and support a local small business. They also house the HNL Tool Library, incase you need to buy or rent a tool you don't have. HNL Tool Library also conducts classes as well so it's a great place to learn as well.

Wonderful concept and we should have more of these types of re-use centers. Having some extra wood planks, I drove over to drop them off after I called per the website's instructions. Bald guy was super rude. I'd go again if needed but unprovoked rude people should seek inner peace. Talking about you, bald guy.

Sad to be writing this about re-use Hawaii but if you buy something from them through their website online~ they may still sell it in store before you can pick it up. I purchased a table yesterday after seeing it available on their Instagram story. I asked them if it was available on Instagram and they said yes and sent me a direct link to purchase. I bought the table right away and received a receipt for the purchase. I live in Kaneohe so picking it up the next day in the morning with my partner was our plan. When I showed an employee an image of the table~ me and the employee went to search for the table on their floor ~ and it could not be found. Another employee said they saw it "walk off". I asked if it had already been sold and the employee said it shouldn't have but it has happened in the past. Everyone was very concerned and nice as they searched their records and tried to find out what happened to the table... only to find that the online sales and the in store sales are not in the same place so someone had bought the table in store an hour after I had already purchased it.Please fix your online system re-use Hawaii ~ especially if you are to continue advertising online directly to customers who plan to pick up in store (literally the next day). I was very upset to find that the table I had been searching for a long time and purchased, was sold to someone else because of this error in the system. We also went to the store only to pick up our new table so it wasted a lot of our time.

They can do magic!Due to some bathroom door mishap, my door handles locked up and we need to break my apartment's door to get me out of the bathroom. Not how I want to remember my relaxing Hawaii vacationSince the door is broken, we need to find a replacement for it. Unfortunately, the door size is custom, so it was almost impossible trying to find its replacement. We brought the door to Reuse and they suggested to just fix the old door. If you watch this video, you can see it's almost magical how they can actually fix the door. The end result is flawless! If you want to see the video how they fix the door here: instagram.com/reel/CsUP_…

This place used to be amazing. Now it's a total rip off. I used to come here all the time to turn salvage wood, cabinets, and tile into art- it used to be so reasonably priced. The idea being to encourage people to RE USE things without buying new. Now you can go here to buy worn material for the same price, if not more, as new

Value! Re-Use Hawaii gives a second life to some of the least thought of, but most used items people ever come across. When your kitchen is remodeled, your cabinets can find a second home at Re-use Hawaii. Really, so much more than just cabinets are available. Ovens, dressers, refrigerators, bar stools, tools, wood, lanai furniture, light fixtures, and so much more can be found for an exceptionally reasonable price. With their constant influx of (re)new items, you are almost always able to find something that will please.

In these days of high prices, Reuse Hawaii is great place to source items for projects.

Yes, a great place if you know what you are looking for. Just picked up a bunch of ceramic plates from what we assume was an out of business restaurant (so sad). Only 50 cents a piece and they work great on our patio for potted plant drainage. These guys can be very expensive if you seek unusual and collectible stuff too. I paid $1500 for an original bronze claw footed 1920's vintage bath tub that had original oak trim, all original copper plumping from Chicago Faucet (extremely high quality without a drip after 100 years), but had a rusty bottom and needed stripping and replacement of ceramic coatings. When all was finished, this turned into a $2k bathtub. We live in a 100 year old home and this tub is such a perfect fit. Nevertheless, not for one of the ultra modern high rise places in Kakaako. Also, we have purchased other hard to find items like old growth timbers from the original (now deconstructed) Ward Warehouse which make fantastic pedestals for our art collectibles. Nice store, used to be in a 'rough neighborhood' , but now much nicer (I think being next door to the UH Medical School helped get our politicians to do something to clean things up (unfortunately, probably just moved elsewhere...).

Great place to find reusable hardware, lumber and just building supplies. Brand new is great but cost is high, reuse/repurpose items work just as good. Built large garden boxes to 2x4 lumber to hang my 30 foot ladder from the patio ceiling. Check out Re-Use Hawaii first before heading to the hardware stores.

So grateful they wanted my furniture sets and lamps. I did not want to deal with selling these items but I did want to donate them for their second chance at usefulness. I went to their website, inputted my items, uploaded pics of those items and they got back to me via email. Jeff showed up with a long flat bed truck with a lift. My husband helped him with the bulkier/larger items. I even got a receipt for my donation. So happy.

You probably won't be able to get them on the phone but once you are there on site, the staff are extremely helpful! Great value for the items! There was almost nothing that I couldn't find there that I needed for my Hawaii location!

I had lots of unused tiles that my former contractor failed to use. I wasn't sure what to do with it. My friend suggested i give it to Re-Use Hawaii. When i dropped off the tile, I noticed all the workers were thankful for my donation. When I walked around, I noticed many items that i have thrown away but I could have donated here instead. I talked with a worker about this. She did say they do refuse some items if they are not useable. The items I did see were useable and in good condition. This included furniture, lumber, tile (lots!), bathroom fixtures, and lights. They do pickups selectively based on if the items are big and bulky and if you have a large quantity. I'd suggest calling to see if they would pickup your items.

Gosh if I was handy I could spend all day here! I do a lot of crafting so inspiration is always everywhere in many different forms and this place is certainly no different. I do absolutely love love love the concept of re-use items that are no longer needed doesn't mean it's no longer wanted. Currently with shipping issues it's so difficult to get that item you're longing to find and receive here is great to find that needle in the haystack in their wide variety of materials. Did you know you're able to join a tool-sharing community?! Through HNL Tool Library www.hnltoollibrary.org you can become a member rent tools to complete your projects...so cool! They are a local non-profit organization which you are able to contribute by donating unwanted material and help reduce the landfill which creates a full cycle positivity to the community and help create jobs as well. For more information on contributing you can visit their website www.reusehawaii.org and instagram @reusehawaii yay you can save greens by going green! Thank you!!

This is the place to find those things you just can't find anymore. The ideas that can spawn by just simply walking through. So much to find and the prices are amazing. The tool rental program...you just can't beat!!
