Horrible horrible horrible service. I went to the minute clinic with an appointment and was called into the office 45 minutes late and then proceeded to be told to hurry up from Alicia Knowles, the NP on staff. WHEN SHE IS THE ONE WHO WAS RUNNING LATE - HAH! Terrible manners. I was prescribed medication that didn't make sense for my diagnosis and ended up having to go somewhere else afterwards to get the correct medication. She repeatedly asked questions that I had to give the same answer to numerous times and in the end I felt like she had no idea what she was doing or talking about. I will be calling the manager tomorrow to discuss the treatment and mind-boggling lack of service I received while at this clinic. UNEDUCATED AND RUDE MEDICAL STAFF - DO NOT GO!

They stole $200 from me, and after 6 minutes on the phone the manager threatened to call the police.I purchased an eBay gift card at 11:00 pm on the 18th. I made a purchase on eBay, and it was too late to make a deposit to the bank, but i like to make my purchases prompt to not keep the seller waiting. There was an issue, and the receipt said the card would be active within 24 hours. It never did throughout the following day, and I messaged eBay about it twice with them making me submit receipts before contacting them again. By the second conversation, they told me the issue laid with longs as their store was the one who failed to activate the card.I came into the store the following day at 10:30 pm. Spoke to a manager over the issue, and he couldn't figure it out and told me to return tomorrow to meet with someone who'd be more versed in this issue. I came in around 10:00 am and the person they told me was a manager said that there was something odd about the receipt and that they had records of the transaction, but it may have been processed under the following days date or something strange like that. I couldn't quite understand the explanation but they told me since the receipt said the card would process in 24 hours give it till the end of the day. I told them I understood issues like that happen. I've already been in multiple times over this issue, but I understand. The following day at 2:30 pm, I still have an issue with the card. I come in and give the run down again. They tell me only Ebay can rectify this problem. And that they'd pass it on to a higher manager to get in touch with corporate and to leave my name and number. I mentioned that I've been in multiple times given the pretense from them it'll be fixed by the next day repeatedly, but I say I understand it's not the employees fault and I appreciate the help. Later that day I message ebay. It's an hour long painfully slow chat that more or less ends with them telling me the store failed to authenticate the card. I tell them both eBay and Longs fail to accept any responsibility, that I'm the one being punished for this, and this is all just cyclical conversations I'm having. I tell them thank you, I appreciate the time they've spent and that it's not them but the companies themselves that seem to have incompetent policies but that i appreciate the help.Armed with the same information they told me before I call Longs ensuring if they've followed up because keep in mind I've already made a transaction on eBay and payment is due by tomorrow. And to state from what eBay has told me that expecting them to help would be futile because they believe the store is solely the one to absolve the situation. I call Longs to let them know and to check the status of what they've talked to eBay about. I reach the acting manager of the store at the moment and I'm given condescending replies that seem to hand waive me away. Statements like whoever is handling it will call you when they call you. And that no one else will talk to me about this. I try explaining the sensitivity of my situation and the patience I've exercised, but it falls on deaf ears as he just repeats himself regularly without showing a hint of processing anything I'm saying. Aggravated, especially as some of his statements cut me off in the middle of me talking I raise my voice. It's a cycle, him treating me as a nuisance and me raising my voice for each time he cuts me off or brushes me away. He says he doesn't like the way I'm speaking to him. I don't much care for the way he's speaking to me either and let him know. He says no one else is willing to hear me out. And that he'll just hang up on me. I tell him if that's the case then I'm just going to tell the situation in person and I'm going now. He says if you do you'll be arrested. I'm calling the police. I ask what for? In my mind I think the gull. You steal my money and I treat you all with the patience o

Dang I wish I had seen the low ratings before I shopped at this location. Guess it's too hard for the worker to turn on the light for customers to know that her register is open.

We are new to the area and needed to get my son a quick sports physical for school. His doctor cannot get him in quick enough so suggested CVS. I made the appointment and showed up and was first told by the assistant that I should know sports physicals aren't covered by insurance. Ok.. already getting the feeling that they weren't helpful but I told her no problem, we need to get this done. The NP came out and I was showing her the form I'd need filled out after her exam. I mentioned Judo and she immediately said "No, I am not licensed for contact sports physicals." I was surprised and told her they just completed one for 2 of his teammates that very week. The tv screen in the clinic is even flashing a picture of kids playing soccer (a contact sport) advertising sports physicals. She was adamant that she could not complete the physical as she was not licensed. I called CVS corporate afterward to find out why they advertise sports physicals and allow people to make appointments if there are qualifiers. I was told she was wrong - a sports physical is for all sports, contact or not. Extremely disappointed.

The nurse is very good, able to get in and out relatively quickly. Five stars for her!BUT!!!The voice system is TERRIBLE to try to reach a live person! I've called numerous times to try to find out any residual copay only to be stymied by the AI phone system. Or, they all take a lunch break at the same time!!! Give the voice system and staffing 0 star!!!TOTALLY FRUSTRATING to obtain information after the visit or login to account.

CVS ruined a good organization! What do you get is endless coupons with contradictory vague terms and even if you get past that, a manager needs to get involved half the time. What happened to running simple sales that people can easily take advantage of? More minor - store is in need of a physical facelift. Interior is just dingy and the product organization is poor. Like who would think that school supplies can be found in the Pest Control aisle? With lack of shopping options in Hawaii Kai, this store will continue to get business. The staff tries to be helpful but the corporation and management has no aloha!

Growing up in Hawaii Kai, I've been patronizing this store for 20+ years. To be completely honest, I really miss the old Longs Drugs. Since CVS took over, I've noticed that prices are significantly higher across the board, the customer service is not as friendly/helpful and they are often short staffed. Recently, I went in to print photos and no one was staffing the photo center. I had to flag down a worker overseeing the self checkout to pick up my prints. When I inquired about online orders and pricing, she was rude, abrupt and unhelpful. After this experience, I decided to take my business elsewhere.

The customer service is so bad here, lines for check out are long, and there's not enough staff working. Only my experiences with the pharmacy section here have been great.

***4.5 STARS***When your body is telling you something, you need to listen to it and attend to the matter. You see, one weekend I went hiking and got sunburnt where my lips chapped. In the past I would apply lip balm but unfortunately things got worse. I then got some OTC remedies but that didn't work, too. I tried to contact my PCP but couldn't' get through. I remembered a previous MinuteClinic (MC) visit that was convenient, so I tried to make a same day appointment but sadly the town locations were booked with only late day openings. I decided to search farther until I was able to secure a morning appointment at the MC's location in Hawaii Kai Shopping Center. For those who are unaware, MC is located inside selected CVS stores that offers retail clinic services to the public. You will be not be necessarily be seen by a doctor, but a nurse practitioner. On arrival, I checked in using their kiosk by answering multiple questions. Upon completion, I noticed their display that had my name and appointment time. Luckily, the patient before me finished early so I was called in by Madelyn Locquiao NP prior to my scheduled appointment.I'll be frank where the appointment didn't start off right. I first gave her my HDL and health insurance card where she went back in to input the information into her system. I was alarmed where my HMSA card had some issues where my information had to be "forced" into the system. At one point, I also had another HMSA card from my part-time job but was pretty sure I destroyed my insurance cards by my part-time employer but not 100% sure. To prevent possible billing issues, I called HMSA to verify my current health insurance card information and once that was all settled, my vital signs were attended to.Madelyn took my blood pressure 2x, which caused me to question why. And it was for a good reason because my readings were high. I have never had a history of high blood pressure so I started to worry. Earlier this year I went to see my PCP and several specialists and I didn't have any issues. At any rate, Madelyn highly suggested I call my PCP in the near future to have this looked into.Regarding my irritation, the situation got worse and became infected. Madelyn recommended me to immediately stop all applications that I've been using and to orally take antibiotics which is strong. She prescribed my medication to be picked up in the same CVC pharmacy just next door.Overall, despite the initial hiccups, I am grateful that MC was able to attend to my needs and is leading me into the right direction to remedy my health issues. NOTE: I was finally able to reach my PCP regarding my blood pressure couple of days later. I was impressed that my PCP was able to assess the blood pressure data from my visit to this MC. Keeping my fingers crossed that this was a false reading as I have been monitoring my blood pressure 2x daily since this visit. My PCP appointment is not until September 2021.2021 #60

This is very convenient location to shop and besides, it has 24/7 operation; however, I now can appreciate why it has less than an average rating. Put it simply, cashiers, particularly the one that I just experienced was so incompetent. Tried to buy waste at their discount price, but forgot to bring my CVS card, so I had to make a second trip to complete the purchase. Asked her to check my phone number listed in the system and it was correct. So, I queried why she couldn't find it, and she told me "no idea". O.k., how about link it up, so I don't have to go through what I did today and her respond was she couldn't do it. Great! So, what should I do to rectify the situation? Clueless. Marvelous :-( Wow! Seriously, I had to take a very deep breath to calm down. Anyway, didn't want to give it one star because when their items are on sale, great bargain! Most of all, it is one undeniably convenient location for those who living in the Eastern Honolulu to shop.

Called to ask questions and possibly make an appointment for COVID testing. After 23 mins someone from "customer service" finally picked up. She wasn't even from the store. I asked her to connect me to the actual store and she couldn't. She wanted the phone number and location of the store I wanted to be in contact with. Umm that's the number I called in the first place?? Tf?? Even after giving her the location she couldn't forward me to the store. She didn't want to look up the number either. She had started yelling about something then put me on hold where I was either forgotten or ignored for a total of an hour when I hung up. This is the first time I've had a problem with them over the phone but definitely not the first time I've had problems with their pharmacy.

Hawaii Kai CVS Keahole Street. Lazy worker there. Did'nt want to help me find an advertised product. I even showed him the Sunday ad. All he said was " Oh, I don't know." I asked "Can you tell me where else I could possibly look for it because we called and someone said its in stock" He replied, " not sure." He continued to laugh and joke around with other clerk over in the Photo Dept. Taller skinny guy with glasses. His name starts w "H" , but I'm certain it starts w a "U" for USELESS. I left in DISGUST! Best I stick to Kaneohe CVS where the staff are so much more caring and they take the time to walk with you to find the product. HAWAII KAI YOU FAILED ME AGAIN.

I've used the clinic a couple times. Convenient location and pharmacy takes my insurance. Slow, but it is Hawaii so that's the norm.

I swear every time I go into this store I regret it. I was waiting to check out with my dad and step mom. They were standing on the social distancing sticker on the ground and I was standing directly in front of them easily 10 feet from the people at the end checking out. Jery the cashier yelled at me and told me I needed to step back then refused to ring me out calling over the manager. This move by the way - moved her closer than 6 feet to me and directly next to the manager which makes no logical sense. Her reaction was zero to 60 and so unnecessary when given the situation. We had masks on and WERE obeying social distancing. I have no doubt in my mind I was being treated as a tourist because I'm white when I live right down the street and have for years. Yet again horrible customer service at this location and now I'll truly NEVER go back to this store after being reprimanded like a child in front of other customers for no reason at all.
