I'm guessing that this Longs CVS location suffers a lot of retail theft, as the level of security borders on the side of being uncomfortable. I'm definitely in support of retailers efforts to combat the problem of shoplifting. At this store, for instance, I saw a man with a backpack traipse in and grab a shopping basket before heading down the aisles only to be quickly nabbed and kicked out by store workers, wearing standard Longs uniforms. My gripe is that they go a bit too far where everyone, from a hipster to a granny, is scrutinized and surveilled to the point that the average customer has to walk in tiptoes in this store for fear of being suspect. Man, tone it down or close it down.

I love this Longs at Ward. It's one of their newer locations and it's huge. They carry items that other Long's don't. Parking is easy. You go up the ramp, park on the second floor and take the elevator down. Once you step of the elevator you're already in the store. I saw a lot of Hello Kitty items this time around. They also carry my face mask that I didn't see at any other Long's. Their cosmetics and body care line is huge at this store. If you're into that you'll love this place. They have a photo department that does passport photos also.I came by and picked up a Pokemon card and Haagen-Dazs ice cream for someone.

This is a well stocked and well organized store, the help is friendly, the security is tight, especially good given the mixed neighborhood. I wish this entry had the pharmacy hours on it rather than the store hours, or, in addition to the store hours, they always have a lot of things on sale, and it's very reasonable to shop there.

This has to be the worst Longs in the state, which is saying a lot. The people who work here are more concerned with stopping shoplifters than with helping legitimate, paying customers actually find things to purchase. I wouldn't be surprised if this Longs is next on the chopping block for Hawaii's stores.

2 stars for convenience. Be sure to sign up for their extracare program, or prices are much higher. Id give 5 stars, but I've noticed every time I come in (I've been shopping here 7.5 months), they all of a sudden blast "customer service, scan all aisles" which is in relation to someone needing to be watched for shoplifting. Considering I live upstairs, I'd have to be pretty dumb to steal. I don't think it's a coincidence because this is the 3rd time it's happened in as many visits, the min I walk in. At least be less obvious about it. Racial profiling sucks, and I hope they do better.

CVS was always great and getting better usually they have wonderful sales!Staff is always extremely helpful and will go through your coupons and discount for you make sure your savings are optimal ! Their sales are great and usually I'll find several things that's a really good price on and you often things that aren't even in the sale paper had the best price on cranberry sauce if anybody in the community !!!Using your CVS card you can save tons of money there. Also the groceries are quite respectable and their prices are comparable to supermarkets and often the best prices in town on coffee and chocolate matters to me. You can get your vaccinations there also and if you go at the right time there's almost no waiting at all just hop in and get him. The pharmacy staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.Kudos to the store and the manager you're the best!

My husband and I stopped in to pick up some things for our daughter to keep her cooled down and entertained while she stayed with her grandma and friends in a condo nearby us. Did you know CVS is also called Longs Drugs? Well I didn't, so I was lucky to find this location lol! While I didn't include all of the photos here, I'll show some of the best finds if you're looking for some last minute items on vacation! I would highly recommend this location and we'll definitely be returning, everything we purchased worked out! And best of all it brought a smile to our little one's face! :-)

Love this newer Longs Drugs location on Ward across the Ohana Hale Marketplace and envy the local residents having this so conveniently available nearby. If you're driving first of all they parking entrance is to the left side of Longs on Halekuwila Street clearly marked and it will take you up with an impressive amount of stall dedicated to Longs with a elevator that will take you directly into the store.Yes of course it is smaller but I love the layout and how they made it work, I initially came here to pick up a prescription as my doctor tried other locations but did not work I'm sure for covid related issues of short staff or whatnot but he did recommend it since their pharmacy hours were late (7am-9pm) thought it game me decent time for pick up after work (it didn't) but it's still so appreciated. In the general store area when you're ready to check out the friendly staff will greet you and ask if you're paying cash or credit and if cash you'll be checking out directly with a staff but credit card will be by self serve kiosks. There is about 3 or four self service area with a staff always standing by for any assistance which was nice since I did have question if they had any Covid home test available which they had, it wasn't the FDA approved ones which is why it's still available but not wanting the rush or craziness I did get some and is nice to be in a calmer environment since not many shop this location.Knowing they close at 10pm daily is nice to know I have this location conveniently available.Thank you!!

Had a appointment set this morning at 8:45am. Minute clinic located on Ward Ave across the street from Ohana Hale. First of all got there a little early no problem they took me in and explained what to except and the process. I swabbed my two nostril with the Q-tip and the representative advised me that someone will call within 2-3 hours. Actually someone called me back within 30 mins that was very quick and efficient. I tested negative yippee, but I gave this location a 5 star rating because everyone was helpful and knowledgeable. I recently came back from a trip so that's why I decided to get a test to make sure I don't have Covid19. Be safe and wear your mask

Mahalo Terry K. for your first review, letting us know that it was a pop up location, not to be confused with the actual store just down the street. Having arrived in Honolulu for a funeral, we wanted to do the right thing for peace of mind, before visiting with relatives. It is a very easy process online to schedule a rapid test. Their system sends you multiple reminders by email and text about your appointment day and time. About an hour before the appointment, they text you a link to an instructional video. It's a short clip, explaining what to expect during your appointment. Upon arrival, there is clear signage about room capacity so please understand, no more than 2 people at a time. They are serious about adhering to cleaning procedures before/after each customer. You'll see an employee spraying down the door handles and preparing for the next appointment. This test is free and quick. Within the hour of turning in our swab, we were told to expect a call from area code 401. John called and let me know my test was negative. They also emailed my negative result so I could keep a copy. It was perfect peace of mind that I didn't get cooties on the plane ride crossing the "pond." Thank you CVS and Terry K. for your review.

Terrible customer service. The three ladies who were working during the afternoon on 6/3 should be ashamed of themselves! Trash attitudes. Not helpful. Should not work in the health field. If I could give 0 stars I would! Please make a change.

SHAME SHAME SHAME on Hawaii CVS! Good-bye CVS. Trying to take advantage of a crisis. Charging people for COVID tests and saying all travel, even if it is for business, will not be covered by insurance. The people were rude, nasty, not understanding at all. Definitely a bad look on Hawaii and its people. Makes me feel like never going to a CVS or being around this kind of low-life business practices. Despicable! After scheduling our appointment for testing days out we show up to find out they will only test for schools and local residence. Nothing on the website or information stated this until moments before arriving we received a text. Then they want to send us to another location to charge us hundreds for a different test that the results won't be back in time for our business trip. Just shameful. And shame on Hawaii for requiring this even for fully vaccinated people!
