Compared to the other Dasio's I have visited, this one is meager and bare. Especially when it comes to the snacks

This is the closest thing to a dollar store on Oahu. They have a huge variety of needs, from personal care to household needs. Baby needs to simple home care. Parking is scarce, but the lot is attended and it is worth waiting to get in. I took the bus from Waikiki, so parking was not an issue for me.

This store has a little bit of everything- things you need, stuff you love, and things you never knew you wanted (or that they even existed) until now! Most items are $1.75, unless otherwise listed. There are helpful signs posted all over the shop that explain what the other price codes mean. There are large selections in the storage container, kitchen and garden, school/office supplies, and art/craft items, as well as numerous others (waaay too many to list here). This is the largest of the Daiso stores in the area, with Pearl City running a close second, and seems to have a broader selection of kids crafts and toys/games than the others. One major drawback for this store is the parking situation. It's a small, oddly shaped lot on the corner of Piikoi and Young, with a one-way circle, with diagonal parking only. I'm pretty sure it's marked for nose-in only parking, but there always seems to be "that driver" that HAS to back in for no good reason, holding up traffic. And ye, InkeN traffic. The lot has an attendant that ensures that not too many people are in the circle at a time, which means that those waiting to park are stuck out on the road, holding up the cross traffic. My advice is to try and find on-street parking, or free spots in other lots, nearby and walk over.Thank you for completing my novella on Daiso, for further reading, check out some of my other overly-detailed reviews by clicking my name at the top of the box. That's spelled Liyana with an y (y? because why not?) ?

My first time in the store. I enjoyed being there. Omg they sell so many little things. I spent time trying to identify some stuff because majority of the information on the products is on Japanese.I saw stuff for office, home, makeup, candies, etc.Very well organized! The parking lot is not too big. I would say during busy days can get an issue.Service was good. The people at the cashiers were nice.On my next trip to Hawaii, I will return.

Great schoool supplies and each item is $1.50 unless indicated ! My daughter loves all the cute little pencil sharpeners and multi pens with red blue and black ink in ones…. It’s even fun to browse on other Japanese items

What can I say, Daiso is pure fun! We'll back up a bit - parking can be crazy difficult, so if catch theBus and walk over, you are already winning the first challenge - and drop for one point for being just a difficult spot to shop at (but hey, that's common for Daiso except in Japan). Once you enter, explore, the deals are everywhere and it may be the best collection of "didn't know I need this" to "aha! Finally found it." Not the best stuff in the world, not low level junk, either, and always some amazingly good prices. It is all non-refundable at purchase, so make sure you want it or plan to gift it. Staff also multilingual, and I found I spoke/read Japanese inside, so your own language skills could be a plus here.

Our day trip to Oahu included a stop here, which was a first for me. Friend who was driving said "There's no food there!" as she knows me so well. I said "That's okay, I'm curious to see what's inside."PARKING:While their tiny parking lot is a problem, it really isn't as there's a pay lot just across the street ($1 for 2-hours). But, the majority of shoppers make it an even bigger problem as they'll wait for a stall to open, engines idling, unnecessarily polluting the air and causing a line of cars to overflow onto the street. They even employ a parking lot attendant. I guess if you're shopping at a dollar store you'd want free parking? I just can't! LOL. THE STORE:It's not a big footprint to begin with. Narrow aisles + no crowd control = an unpleasant shopping experience. It's a good thing they don't have shopping carts as you're already weaving through trying not to bump and grind with total strangers; unless you're into that...The inventory is overwhelming. It's really a clusterf*** of goods ranging from kitchenware to crafting to office supplies and everything in between, and yup, no foods except for some chips and candies near the registers. I did check out their selection of miso soup bowls which had some weight to them and felt of high quality. I have something similar at home but they're old and the inner lacquer lining isn't holding up well in the dishwasher. I mentioned to my friend after the fact that there were no prices listed. She said something about a sticker color and currency converter? That's too much work!OVERALL:Definitely a place where you weigh the pros and cons of price vs. pleasure.

Heard so much online and soo glad to be able to find this store. Parking is limited, when full your car is form one single line to wait for someone leaves. We waited for about 15 minutes for someone to come out to park, you'll need your patience. Once you get in there are so much to shop, from storage, kitchen, bathroom, outdoor to travel they have all. Everything is well priced, there are signs for the currency conversion so you'll know price of the items marked. If nothing is marked then you pay $1.75 per item. It is a great place to shop, will definitely return to get items.

Densely packed store selling inexpensive Japanese daily sundries. Most items are not tagged, so are priced at $1.75. For the rest, use the YEN conversion chart. One star off for the parking situation. The lot is so small that they’ve hired two full time attendants to manage the chaos.

Some of the items are price up from $1.5 to $1.75. I agree about it because of the inflation. Just try not come to noon time because people will come during their lunch break and very limited parking.

I went to Daiso this morning. I wanted to go when they're opened because the parking lot is pretty small. I arrived at 8:50. The store opens at 9:00. As I waited, I saw many people filling the parking lot in10 min. The parking attendant was directly people into their parking spaces. This Daiso is very popular. The store is well stocked. I was interested I'm getting some storage containers. I found them and purchased them. The sale lady was very friendly. Come in the morning.
