OMG, would you believe, they only had ONE person in the whole office doing lab work. No receptionist, no Secretary.

When you think you got exposed to someone who tested positive for covid, you immediately call your Doctor's office. I was referred to Kapiolani Hospital drive thru testing site. Finding an appointment at Clinical Labs, I couldn't get one for either today or tomorrow. My next choice was DLS at Restaurant Row. I booked an appointment for early afternoon same day. First of all, parking is amazing! Covered, validated, and abundant. Sadly, lots of businesses are either permanently closed in the area, or made adjustments to operating times. So finding parking was a breeze! I was in and out within 10 minutes. Here's what confused me. I had the option of getting a rapid test or PCR which I needed for work/travel. When the lady swabbed me, it wasn't the painful procedure as I have been accustomed to. She ran the swab in circles inside both nostrils, causing no discomfort. I had jokingly said "Oh you're not going to stick it all the way in?" She replied "That's if you want to. But that procedure is mainly for travelers going in and out of Japan." Had I known she was going to collect the sample that way, I could have bought an at home kit and swabbed myself.

I had a GREAT experience with Mady at the Diagnostic Laboratory Services’ Waterfront location. (500 Ala Moana, building 6, suite H)She was friendly and thorough in helping me set up a pre-travel Covid-19 test for my upcoming trip and also went above and beyond to make sure I could get my test within the correct time frame. I will definitely use this location again for any future services!

I shishi'd in a cup and a got a q-tip up my nose. Both are not so fun experiences but know what is fun? Fast and friendly service. All the staff was relaxed and they didn't jam the q-tip into my brain list people warned me. Honestly the whole thing was like twenty minutes great! I had my results from my 9 AM appointment by 6 PM. So I was happy.

GAHHHH! i hate getting blood work, heck i hate needles fit shots too but im ok with tattoo needles ehh i dk. Located at the Ala Moana Building, it's convenient. You walk-in, grab a number and take a seat. With Covid-19, they have spaced the chairs 6ft apart from each other.

Wow I was very impressed. I was able to request a butterfly needle and not get flack or have the person run away and get another perosn. I was only poked once and didn't have a bruise where the needle went in. I was glad they did not have to poke my hand or collapse a vein. I did take the stairs from the 4th floor since the line for the elevator was out the door. People were afraid to go inside although there were empty circles on the floor and the door was open to the fresh air...

Just FYI during COVID the wait is much longer especially for the early morning (after fasting) blood draw. Guess they can only do so many people at a time. Bring your patience

I'm writing this review because I wanted to commend Jordan on her wonderful attitude and service. I went in this morning and found out I needed to get SEVEN vials of blood withdrawn. I already hate getting blood drawn and the most I've done was three vials, so I was very nervous. Jordan was so patient with me and didn't make me feel silly for being nervous. She was very understanding and had a calm and soothing demeanor. I hardly felt anything when she inserted the needle and she was very efficient. So I just wanted to say a big MAHALO to Jordan for doing her job with such compassion and professionalism. Thank you!!

Discovered this place from a coworker and a very convenient location for me on a work day. Went about 745 am on a weekday. The pro is that there was NO WAITING LINE, so almost a walk in service and I was in and out in less than 10 min for a blood and urine test. The cons were; the one worker manning the place seemed almost annoyed that I showed up, not friendly at all, curt, I felt almost like "I was a job" and she wanted just finish and send me on my way. So a 5 for efficiency, a 1 star for customer relations...but for the convenience, I suppose I would go back...

Do not go to this DLS location if you are going in the morning before work. They only have one person working at all times and unless you're the first one there when they open, you will likely have to wait at least 20 minutes. Giving this location one star because I came at 6:55am to make sure I was first in line. As I am writing this it is now almost 7:15am and there is still no one inside and the place is not open. If your hours of operation are 7am - 4pm, make sure you are open during those times! Now I'm going to be late for work, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid in the first place. Never going to this DLS location again.

Okay, I was a little nervous seeing the hit or miss reviews for this DLS location, but Kwon made my visit so smooth and easy. I'm so beyond thankful for him. I hate getting blood tests because the phlebotomists usually miss my vein, but I let him know and his reaction was, "Challenge accepted." And he was spot on for 4 bottles of drawn blood on the first try. He also kept up conversation to keep my mind off of things during the process while also just showing that he's genuinely a nice guy and I appreciated that level of customer service from him. Kwon, thank you for making this visit so easy!
