I don't know if it will fall on deaf ears but, while shopping late at night at Kaheka Donqui (4/2/25), I urgently needed to use the restroom, but as stated that the restrooms were closed to the public after midnight.
After inquiring to the customer service representative at the help desk, she stated the policy with no remorse to the situation, leaving me with helplessness and forward me to the security guard in the front as she said that he can help me. Heading to the front, where the security guard was stationed, he stated the same thing to me and towards the end of his sentence, thats where I started to relieve me self in the entrance of the store as I ran out.
It was an incredibly embarrassing and avoidable situation. Instead of showing any concern or offering assistance, the staff simply dismissed me especially as patron.
A store that operates late hours should provide access to basic facilities, or at the very least, have a plan for handling emergencies with some level of compassion. I hope management reconsiders this policy because no customer should have to go through what I did.
At the end just very dumbfounded to how we treat each other especially here in Hawaii, I get why we do have policies like this, but I dunno what kind of treating each other with aloha is this especially when you know they are shopping with you.

My impression is that Japanese entrepreneurs provide the best service. Today I am very disappointed. The rice cooker can only be returned for 14 days. If you use it for more than one day, it is the responsibility of the consumer. ZojlRusHl This brand of rice cooker broke after three months of use.

I visited the Don Quijote Honolulu store in March 2025, which had just opened on February 15, 2025.
There were many people in the store, and it was very lively, which made me realize how popular it is. There was a wide selection of souvenirs such as macadamia nuts and chocolate, and some items were cheaper than ABC Store and other supermarkets.
The aisles were also wider than Don Quijote in Japan, giving it an American scale. Japanese food and daily necessities were also available, and it seemed to be used by not only tourists but also locals.
There was a wide variety of products, so it was fun just to look around.
I visited Don Quijote Honolulu in March 2025, shortly after its grand opening on February 15, 2025.
The store was bustling with many customers, which showed how popular it has already become. There was a wide selection of souvenirs like macadamia nuts and chocolates, and some items were cheaper than at ABC Stores or other supermarkets.
Additionally, the aisles were wider than those in Japanese Don Quijote stores, reflecting the American scale. They carried Japanese groceries and household items, and it seemed to be a place not just for tourists but also for locals.
There was a large variety of products, and just browsing the store was enjoyable.

Not the same as "Donki" in Japan but still a good place to go for some snacks and souvenirs. Mostly a food vendor it seemed like. Open 24hrs and has some clothing but nothing like what you get in the Donki stores in Japan.

Not like the Don quijote in Japan. Very run down and disorganized.
The security lady and bag lady were nice.
The store does have some stuff that you can't get at regular supermarkets. Worth it if you want to get Japanese ingredients.

They responded when I contacted them from Japan.
I don't think it would be a good idea to go directly to Honolulu.
