Down to Earth Organic & Natural is a health food store located across from Longs Drugs on S. King Street. Opened in 1977, this 6,000 square foot store offers a wide variety of natural and organic foods and groceries. It features local organic produce, dairy products, bulk foods including spices, vitamins, natural supplements, and body care products. There is a great selection of plant based protein options, eggless desserts, and household items. The attached restaurant and deli offers a great made-to-order sandwich menu, hot food, cold salad bars, fresh juices, smoothies, and grab-and-go options. There is outside seating for people with meals. While some find the prices high, many note the friendly staff and presence of aloha. It is known as a really good health food store with a large area for health conscious beauty products and supplements, leaving other stores in the dust. It is the cheapest place for purified and alkaline water refills.
They have great healthy food options and their mango sticky rice smoothie is amazing. The cashier was in a super bad mood though. She was super rude to the customer before me to the point I felt bad for him.

Love this Down to Earth location. Always happy to see friendly faces. The Wellness Clerk, Karen, is super knowledgeable and always asks if I need help finding anything. She has assisted me several times in finding homeopathic remedies for things. I really appreciate her kindness and experience!
