We ate here twice while in Honolulu! Their hot bar has tons of great vegan options, from lasagna to curry dishes and everything in between. They also have great desserts, like a s'mores cookies. We didn't get to try the smoothies or coffees but those looked pretty good too. The manager, Jessica, was very helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend!

Neat store. They had maui white pineapples for sale! That alone is worth five stars.

The review is in regards to their food bar. Yes, it's on the pricier side but I think it's worth the price. Everything in the food bar is organic. There's a wide selection of healthy items such as tofu, eggplant, curries, salads, etc. They also have a nice dining area upstairs to eat and relax. In all, I enjoy dining here for lunch or dinner.

Best natural food store I’ve ever been to. They don’t compromise their high standards and their quality is second to none. Awesome hot bar and deli selection, great pizza, juices, and more! We only shop here for our groceries when in Kailua.

If you're ordering food, keep in mind this is in a small natural foods grocery with a FULL & delicious vegan hot bar. If you're picking it up, you might want to just go & see what they have available on the bar before ordering, you'll probably only be waiting a few minutes if you order in person. The sandwich I ordered was delicious but I was highly tempted by the hot bar, especially since it was already ready & I was hungry. I got some hummus from the bar but the extra wrap listed on the menu was not available. I had to buy a pack of flatbread from the grocery, took 1 out & offered the rest to the transients outside. Overall a tasty & unique experience.

I love this store! Like Whole Foods but a local business (I'm assuming). They have a wide array of vegan and vegetarian items, and as a former vegan I appreciate the variety. The staff is also so helpful too. The hot food bar is where it's at for a healthy dinner, especially needed while on vacation. Love it.

As the other reviews suggest, this is a heaven for vegan/vegetarians. We enjoyed the Avacado toast sandwich, lasagna, noodles, smoothies with ginger, pizza and desserts. They also had soups and Indian and Thai options. Convenient and multiple locations with parking and grocery store.

I've been going to this location for about the last 13 years and feel absolutely disgusted with the customer service. It's gone so downhill since the pandemic that I don't even want to go here anymore despite how close it is. My last shopping experience here a few weeks back was absolutely ridiculous. I took my items up to the cashier who scanned my items, probably around seven things I definitely needed a bag for, and stood there. Since I was also just standing there she then asked me if I needed a bag to which I said "yes please," and then she points in the direction where they are and says "they're right over there." SERIOUSLY!?!! Absolutely not! If you're going to charge sky high prices and then not provide decent customer service I'm most definitely going elsewhere. This isn't the first time this has happened. Several months back I phoned and spoke to the manager to see what their policy is for bagging these days because I had the same cashier as well as another who would stand there and do nothing until the customer got the point that it was on them to do it for themselves. Their manager's response was that was not how it's supposed to be and he would have a talk with their cashiers. It seemed like it got better and then this. I'm done.

I love this place. Sure, it's a bit overpriced but the standout in my mind is the hot food section. So many creative, tasty options and heaven for someone who is vegetarian/vegan. Also a great spot to find grocery options for vegetarian and vegans. And has lots of bulk foods!

This is the first Down to Earth that opened in Hawaii in 1977 on S. King . Since then they've opened other locations in Kakaako, Kailua, Kapolei and Pearlridge. Everything that they sell is organic, natural and vegetarian. You walk in and the produce section is to the right, vitamins are to the left and the ready to eat is in the back. The hot entree section is $14.99 a pound. You grab a box and fill it with what you want to eat. They have a lot of different salad options and veggie dishes. I like meat, so it wasn't for me. It looked really good though. They even sell sandwiches, wraps and smoothies that are made to order. My friend ordered the creamy kale smoothie and avocado wrap.

A bit pricey. But have some great local produce and vegan/ vegetarian hot food is yummy! Few hot dishes have some added seed oils, which I think is an easy swap for better quality oils, but still yummy

It’s been a bit difficult to navigate with a wheat and gluten allergy since I got here so I very much appreciate you! ❤️ The food is absolutely delicious and fresh. I highly recommend and it’s great that you offer gluten-free and dairy free options. ❤️ tysm

It seems to me that everyone that patrons and that works at Down to Earth Organic & Natural - 2525 S. King Street is really healthy and hella cool and friendly and sincere. They have parking structure to park your vehicle and it is shaded. There are like (4-5) four to five curbside (C&C) City and County metered parking stalls. Alot of people park at Longs parking lot directly across and traverse over; wether it is via crosswalk or hood style. No meat products sold at Down to Earth Organic & Natural - Honolulu: FYI. They take: cash, credit card, EBT..... not sure about Gold.
