Great surf rental spot! Chris is the owner and is super knowledgeable and kind. Showed me in detail where to paddle out to the kaisers break and broke down the local surf etiquette. A bit of a walk to the beach but he has a great board collection, can store your things safely so it’s worth it.

We stayed at the Ilikai and rented a SUP from Chris and Misa at Duke’s Lagoon throughout the month. They were always very helpful with suggestions, super friendly and very accommodating. Truly outstanding people and boards. Extremely knowledgeable about local surf breaks and Oahu overall. Next time I will bring my kids with me and send them to lessons here.

Duke's Lagoon is an independent and full-service surf shop and beach recreation equipment company located on the first floor of the Ilikai Hotel. We offer all types of board rentals, including shortboard, longboard, and SUP, as well as boogie boards, snorkel and fin rentals. Private or group surf lessons are available for surfers of all skill levels from beginner to advanced. Group Turtle Tours are a family favorite and fill up quickly, so book in advance! Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for setup every morning starting at 8:00 am.
