The Fort Shafter Exchange is a small, simple, and moderate-sized store convenient to the base. It is described as a quick-stop shop or a smaller annex, not a full-size or full-service exchange. The selection is limited and okay, with some empty shelves, but it has most of the basics, necessities, and things needed on a day-to-day basis. This includes snacks, uniforms, toiletries, household items, and clothing, saving a trip to a bigger exchange. The store is clean, stocked, and organized, with friendly and helpful staff who show pride in their work. It features self-checkouts and cash lines, and can be busy at lunch. A Vietnamese food truck outside offers a cheap, quick, and really good lunch option. While it gets the job done, for a wider selection and more options, the larger exchanges at Pearl Harbor or Schofield are recommended.
Stopped here for some groceries and souvenirs while visiting the island. Good prices and decent selection.

Convient to Fort Shafter. Not nearly as nice as Schofield, but you could tell the employees had pride in thier older, smaller store. It was clean, stocked and organized. It's nice that the uniform store is located inside.
