One of our favorite mochi stops in Oahu!! We come here multiple times during our Hawaii trips and load up on mochi! We love Fujiya for their friendly staff, clean atmosphere & fresh FRUIT MOCHIS! They also have a parking lot which helps out lot.My personal favorite are the lychee bites, fresh strawberry, yuzu passion fruit & sweet potato mochis! Sweet potato mochi only comes around every once and awhile but seriously one of my favorites! They have lots of different chi chi dango flavors as well! The texture is a bit softer than Nisshodo, but the chi chi flavors are more natural tasting / not overly sweet or artificial tasting. We love the mango, haupia & lychee bites chi chi Dango! I wish they had lychee bites chi chi dango bc it's my absolute favorite! They have a great selection of snacks as well we love the shoyu peanuts and shrimp chips! They come in very cute bags perfect for gift giving! So cute and clean!

Found this place from tiktock and loved it! We had the red bean, matcha and peanut butter mochi. All were delicious! Wish the place had somewhere to sit inside and enjoy.

I have never had mochi so delicious in my life. I have eaten mochi from the super market before, but it is not the same as buying a fresh plate from here. We came on Dec 31st for the special hours, got 3 platters and delivered it to our families and they all said the same thing. I never knew mochi was so good until I had it from here. Next time I’ll pre order. Thank you and Happy New Year

It's a busy place and you have to go early to get what you want. Otherwise, place your order. Since I came from another island, I could only get what was left by midday.

I usually frequent the other major mochi store in town (we all know where that is lol), but wanted to try out Fujiya as it's super closer to my home. First off it may have been lucky timing, but coming in on the eve of Christmas eve was surprisingly not too busy. I was able to park in their lot without any delay and the store had a few patrons inside, allowing to walk around and peruse. They had some special pancake mixes on display and gave a sample of the pineapple one that was freshly cooked in the store- pretty good! But I was there for one thing and one thing only, the mochi. Or course they have pre-orders for the holiday season, but I didn't plan ahead and was at the mercy of whatever was available. Impressively, they actually did have great stock of items, including their Christmas platters that you could pre-order! I decided to just go with some tried and true classics. I got the 12 pc assorted, 1 large regular/haupia chichi dango, and a small Ramune (Japanese soda) chichi dango. My personal al favorite is the peanut butter, so rich and delicious. The staff there are all super friendly and able to answer any questions. They also are great salesmen lol. Will definitely be purchasing my mochi from here from now on!!

Best mochi on Oahu. Fresh, soft, many unique varieties, perfect texture. Among our favorites: fresh berry/ red bean, lychee, choco nutty toffee, yuzu/ lilikoi, haupia chichi dango. Service itself is great. Lady behind the counter is helpful, fruendly, efficient ... and willing to serve you after hours if she is still around; just ring the bell. Service rating is 4 out of 5 more because a) you have to get there at the right time - the mochi might not be ready yet or they're already sold out of a flavor, so hit or miss on the day, b) have to find parking on the street because the small parking lot is full. Store itself is average experience; sort of stark ambiance. On the expensive side (more than a couple bucks per mochi), but the mochi is heavenly.

This place is worth the walk from tourist areas! Besides fresh mochi and manju there were other bakery choices with longer shelf life.

Great place to get mochi, very soft and pillow like. It melts in your mouth.

I am not a big fan of mochi but let me tell you Fujiya Hawaii is absolutely amazing and delicious. I've been to Japan many times and never had mochi this good in my life. Our last trip to Oahu we went here 3 time. They're closed Sunday and Mondays. The last time we went I wanted to take some home for family and friends but it's best eaten within three days and our flight home was Tuesday morning at 6am. I mentioned that to the owner (I believe it was the owner) and she told me to come Monday morning and she would sell me what they had made for the day. I was so grateful for the hospitality!!! The best ones are the strawberry mochi. It's basically the Habutae (red bean and mochi) with a whole strawberry in the middle, delicious! The Chichi Dango regular and haupia (coconut) is just the mochi without any filling. Those ones are delicious too. They have many other flavors and baked goods. I promise you can't go wrong with that you choose. And always remember Thank you for the food!

The best mochi I've ever had. I've never had mochi that soft before. We've been back there 4 times in one week.

Oh boy, I was looking for mochi and I think I found the best mochi ever. Fresh and soft, simply perfect. My only complaint is that there isn't one next to my house.

Best mochi on Oahu! Be sure to try the Strawberry or Mixed Berry options, and see what the week's special flavors are. Everything is a perfect texture and deeply flavorful. Because they aren't made to sit on a shelf indefinitely, the food needs to be eaten with ~3 days (one day for the fresh berries), but that's just an excuse to enjoy more of their delicious treats ?

Super tasty sweets! We got the pastries, ate them in the car and went back for seconds lol. Enjoyed the purple sweet potato, matcha and the yuzu the most. Looking forward to trying the mochi next time.

Softest mochi and dango. Great service and quaint store front. Wish is was closer near our hotel but glad we're able to visit (open to the public)
