Very bad experience with this company that takes no pride in their work. Repaired rust for 5 thousand dollars and rust came back in 1 1/2 years when they claimed the rust should not return less than 5 years. Guy did an upsell saying if we repair the rust, it may comeback in 2 years, but if you put in a whole new roof, you will not have to worry for at least 5 years. Tried calling and after a week they answered and claimed there is no warranty and the father retired so they are not obligated to what his father told us.The shop is not busy with new and happy customers as I thought but it is full because of returns and comebacks because they are shady and do terrible work. I would not answer my phones if I did shady work. Bum job, terrible work, no ethics, and no pride.Stay away or you will regret it.Service: Body & Trim

My son took his truck to GH Autobody Service on June 1, 2021 to have rust repaired. A person named *** estimated the rust repair to be around $2500 to $3000 if more rust was found inside the roof of the truck. *** told my son that the rust could return in about 2 years and the better way to go was to cut out the whole roof and put a new one in and then the rust should take at least 5 years to return. *** said that to cut the rust out and weld on a new roof would cost $5000+. *** told my son that near the third light above the rear sliding glass has foam that retains water and that is why it rusts. *** took pictures and picture texted the progress of the truck. When the truck was finished it looked nice except where they taped where should have been painted and oversprayed some areas. About 3 months after picking up the truck, water was leaking into the cab, my son contacted GH and they stopped the leak. Recently my son noticed water leaking in the cab and rust bulging out from under the window seal and rust reappearing on the roof above the driver's door. He tried for weeks to contact ***. One day *** called back and did not even want to take a look. His attitude was tough ****, don't bother me. He also said it was his father who retired so any warranty would be void anyway. The rust returned in a year and a half but my son could not take his truck in until now. *** does not want to even take a look at his shoddy work and make amends. Stay away from this business!I used to do body work and fabricate vehicles and I know that there is no way the rust should come back in less than 2 years if you prepped and treated the metal properly. We have the receipt but we should have gotten his statement in writing. Terrible business with a bad attitude. Probably doesn't answer phone due to all the returns. Not busy because good work, busy because of terrible work and a bad attitude! YOU WILL REGRET DOING BUSINESS WITH GH AUTO BODY SERVICE!!!! STAY AWAY111

My son took in his 1999 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner to have all the rust fixed around the back and side windows and above the driver's door. The old man in the picture is not the one that helped my son, it may have been a son of the old man that told my son to fix the rust would cost about $2500.00 and maybe a little more if they find more rust. Guy told my son that the rust would probably reappear in as little as 2 years if the rust wasn't cut out. Guy then pitched to my son that he should cut out the whole roof shell to get rid of the rust and then it should last about 5 years or more for $5000.00. My son elected to spend $5000.00 and put on a new roof. GH Auto did cut out the roof and weld in a new one and sent pictures of the progress from cutting out the old one and welding in the new one. The color paint match was perfect and there were some imperfections. Tape was left where the paint should have covered, and there was some dust. Only about 2 months after picking up the truck, there was a water leak in the extra cab where the rust was. GH Auto redid the window seal or added more sealant and the leak disappeared for a little while. About 1 year and a half the rust appeared in all the same spots. The rust returned above the drivers door and the main one by the third light is blistering and bulging and pushing the seal out causing water to leak into the extra cab. It took forever for them to return my son's call and their answering machine was so full there was no way to leave a message. When the person from DH auto returned my son's call, he claimed that his father retired and he took over. He told my son that there is no warranty on their work and did not want to take a look at their terrible work. I know body work because I used to race cars, and do body and paint as a side business. Because of my age I told my son to take it to the body shop. What shady shops like GH Auto do is they skimp on primer, sealer, and paint on the places that you can not access. Time is money and it would have just taken around three days more to apply the primer, sealer, and undercoating to prevent the rust from coming out. Instead they chose not to prep the shell properly causing the rust to return in 15 months. The rust is coming from the inside out. I assumed they were busy because they are good, but now I realize that they must have a lot of returns and they have so much returns that they do not even want to answer their phones. That is the tell tale sign of a bad and shady business. This is one business to stay clear from. They claimed on his upsell of changing the roof that the rust would take 5 years or more to come back where as just repairing the rust would take 2 years to reappear. The roof was changed and a new roof was welded in and the rust appeared in all the same places and body work did not even last a year and a half. Stay clear from this people that do not take any pride in their work! The shop is busy because of all the returns and bum jobs! I know finding shops that repair rust is getting rare, but avoid desperation and whatever you do, AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Aloha, If your looking for a TOP PROFESIONAL auto body repair, then look no further. GH AutoBody & Paint is the place to go. A+ rating with BBB. I took my 2006 Toyota Camry for a estimate, spoke to Guy and felt very at ease. He is easy to talk to, Guy gives straight answers, an options and very Honest. Gantry painted my car and blended the paint with the original factory color, when paint was completed it looked like a SHOW ROOM FINISH display . They use the BEST PAINT & CLEAR COAT. I'm totally satisfied with the results.

My 2013 hyundai elantra car got hit at my job sometime last month. I didn't know where to take it to get fixed so my boss referred me to Guy. I am super happy that he did!! My car came back like brand new! The inside was vacuumed and best of all..it was waxed!! Honestly, even I havent waxed my car since I got it...oops! Anyway...the best part is that Guy was kind enough to use the extra paint to cover a scratch on my bumper. I will refer everyone who needs their car fixed to see Guy because he exceeded my expectations. Best experience ever!

Having some complex rust issues on my Honda Pilot, I took it around town and surprisingly found most shops won't do rust work. They just switch out panels, pull dents, repaint and such. I was told repeatedly that rust repair is time-consuming, laborious, and somewhat of an art form that's not commonly learned/taught these days. The places I did find that do rust repair varied widely on their quotes, one was too good to be true (as I found that repair shop lying on their website about being a BBB member) and another quoted absurdly high wanting to replace/re-weld an entire section of metal. Not to mention the reviews of these places were lacking or mediocre and I never got a good vibe when speaking/seeing any of them. Reaching out to my brother-in-law for suggestions (being a former mechanic), he recommended Guy Hirata, G-H Auto Body. Before calling for an appointment, I did confirm Guy had a 5-star review here on Yelp and an A+ rating on the BBB site (referencing his old N. King St. location). Upon arriving at his shop (a little hard to find, but look for "Mobile Air" as he's behind them), Guy meticulously looked at all the affected areas, took his time in explaining everything he would be doing and gave good suggestions and different options. It was reassuring that he didn't seem to mind all the questions I asked (as I do tend to ask a lot). Overall his easy-going demeanor, vast knowledge, and very reasonable quote gave me those warm fuzzy feelings to proceed with the repair. Now when scheduling the work, his schedule was pretty busy as he had a lot of other upcoming jobs. His next opening was about 1.5 months later but I didn't mind as I knew he was the right guy to work on my car (which ended up being totally worth the wait). Guy had my Pilot for about a week and a half. He repaired rust around and underneath my back gate hinges as well as small rust spots on my roof, finishing it off with a BEAUTIFUL/FLAWLESS paint job...PERFECTLY matching the factory paint. He also did extra touches like cleaning the roof drains, applying a rustproofing coating along those drains and various weld points. Lastly he also applied automotive caulking under/around the hinges as an additional rust preventer. Having just got my car back today and all the appreciation I have for Guy and his crew, I really felt inclined to spend a good amount of time tonight to submit this detailed review. I hope others in need of bodywork will seriously consider these guys as I won't be going anywhere else!!!

First of all they're no longer located on N. King Street!!!! They're now located on Mapunapuna Street and it's very easy to find! The owner Guy Hirata is a really nice and easy going individual! This is the third time my fiancé has gone to him for all his auto repair needs so he must be good! So for your body and fender needs and/ or repairs go see Guy Hirata!
