I went in asking for a medium drop fade and I ended up receiving a high fade with no drop. The cut was uneven as in my right side was faded higher then the left. I came back to get it fixed and got the same person who cut my hair. I explained I was not happy with the cut and to just make it look better. The entire time though she wouldn't accept fault for giving me the wrong haircut and to me made it feel like it was my fault for what I received. It was an extremely uncomfortable experince and embarrassing. Im leaving 2 stars only because the second cut was free of charge but ultimately it wasent what i wanted and the experince was unpleasant. Also she recommended i should have asked for a low fade? and I guess expect a medium fade? I think when someone asks for a medium fade you should get a medium fade

I've been going here for quite some time. It obviously makes even better when an occasional coupon is available.

Do NOT I repeat NOT come to get your hair washed and ask for blow dry!!! They will take the $10 shampoo and turn it into you paying $50+ for a shampoo and blow dry NOTHING else!! No blow out JUST shampoo and blow dry!!! My teens stylist today had the hair dryer so close to her head she said it was burning her and she was pulling tangles out after washing it super hard without holding hair at all!! They don’t tell you blow dry so much extra up front it’s crazy!!! We are military family stuck in a hotel with crazy water pressure couldn’t get to washed well enough that’s why we went expecting to pay $10+ tip maybe a tad more blow dry but not $112 for me and a teenager to get a hair wash and blow dry that’s insane,we should have went to ulta and got blow outs it would have been cheaper and had way more done!!

After reading reviews on multiple, more inexpensive chain salons across the island, I had settled on this salon for convenience sake as I was taking my daughter to get her hair cut next door. I walked in with no appointment and got service immediately. It has been over a year since I had my hair cut, after it was mauled by an elderly, (albeit sweet) Filipino lady working at the Fantastic Sam’s in Mililani Shopping Center. Chong, on the other hand, asked me what I wanted and with great attention to detail removed all of my dead ends and I left with great hair. She stopped several times to ask me if I was satisfied with the length and checking for evenness. I was shocked at the register when I wasn’t charged an arm and a leg for the service. In fact, it was very affordable, and they offered military discount on top of that. If we weren’t moving soon, I would be a regular patron.

Andy is the man! I only go to see him. He always gets my fade tight and gets me looking sharp. I definitely wish he did a little bit better at dusting the hair off of my ears and face when he is done, but that is minor stuff. I once went there and had an older lady cut my son’s hair. It was absolutely awful. Shortly thereafter, a kid I know has a haircut that is messed up. I ask where he went. He said, "Great Clips in Moanalua Shoping Center." I asked, "Let me guess. Was it the older lady?" Sure enough. It was her.
In short, go to Andy, secondly Katrina. I am not sure about anyone else, but don’t go to the old lady.

This place can give basic military cuts and that’s about it.
My husband comes here once a month, and it’s just gotten worse and worse. Today the stylist cutting his hair accidentally jabbed him in the eye three separate times and didn’t listen when he asked if he could face the mirror. The stylist who cut my hair worked way too fast. I have an undercut and she raked the clippers so harshly across my skin I had to pull away from her, and now I have a rash forming from it. She also gave me the choppiest bob I’ve ever had. My husband had to help me cut the long pieces she missed. Now I have to find another salon to fix the rest of it because I just can’t excuse going back here again

Located in the Moanalua Shopping Center. Great service, one of the faster Great Clips on island for wait time as compared to the Pearl City or even Kapolei branch. Use their app to make an appointment or see beforehand how long the wait is.
They sometimes run unadvertised haircut sales for $9.99 and $14.99....last time i visited i lucked out and got a haircut for $9.99. Hard to beat these prices these days, even for haircuts on base?

I started coming to this place during covid and the supercuts near me started screwing my hair up. After the last 3 visits, I started thinking of going to an actual salon for my hair.I couldnt get a good haircut from this place, I showed them refrence pictures, the books in the store, I didn't get what I wanted. This day I wanted my hair trimmed about 2 inches and once the stylist started cutting diagonally with straight scissors all around my head, I knew it was over.I know this is no salon and they ask $25, but they don't know what a wolf cut was when I asked for one. Some parts of my hair still has a nasty straight cut.

Went there for a simple cut. All I wanted was her to cut my hair straight across on the bottom, taking about 4.5 inches off. My hair was dry. She started cutting it dry. I said o mam I have curly/wavy hair now but I straighten daily so when someone cuts it they usually wet it. She said no it’s fine. She continued to cut away. I figured she knew what she was doing since she had a license to cut hair.I said ok maybe straighten it after to make sure it’s even. She said $60. I said that’s too much just to straighten. I said I’ll do it at home. She replied with ok I’m here till 6:30 come back if it’s not straight.Really I should not have to come back. The service was awful hair is absolutely awful. I will NOT be going back.
