Fast, reliable internet service. I rarely have any problems but when I had an issue because my power went out, a service tech came to help me re-boot.

Updated 051923: after my last update, Jared promptly emailed me and at long last finally got the issue fixed.Update: Make sure all payments are accurate. Once your account is closed, you'll NEVER get a refund for any excess payments, no matter how many times they say the refund is on the way.

We have HDT as our business internet service provider. HDT resells Hawaiian Tel internet service. When there is an outage, as an HDT customer you cannot contact Hawaiian Tel. As a result support is delayed or ineffective. We have had outages at 2 of our office locations lasting 4 and 5 days each. After the first outage we chalked it up as a fluke. After the second outage it became apparent that HDT cannot provide support for their service and we are in the process of switching to another internet service prior.I would recommend either Hawaiian Tel or Spectrum over HDT if you are a business that needs reliable internet service.

Constantly no internet for days at a time, yet I'm still paying for full internet on my maintenance fee. When internet is up and running, it's usually only for a few days, then down again.

As others have said, THE WORST! Not sure why anyone would go with them as they aren't even the cheapest. Be prepared for long phone waits, no response, continued bills after sending WRITTEN 30 day notices. President and COO has welcoming message when you call, but obviously has no idea what's actually going on there.

1) Bad at communicating2) Support nor Billing will not respond over 2 weeks3) Managed service is not Managed service since they do not even update the network equipment under support.4) There are Techs who does not even know how to setup Access Point

HDT is the worst internet company in this country. Already 4days past since my internet and TV was down and still they can not figure out what’s wrong. They are not professional, like amateur club team. I never business with them again!

This review is based on the internet service that was provided by HDT. The internet speed on average is about half of the speed of what we paid for. Not great, but it's tolerable if that was the only issue. The main issue like everyone else has mentioned is that we would have frequent outages and everything time we called customer service, It would either be busy (probably due to the large amount of customers calling about their outages) or the rep would say they're looking into the issue. These outages would last from a few hours to a day or 2. We're a small local businesses and we're all for supporting other small local businesses. But if you can't provide reliable service, you're making both of us look bad.

I worked here from November 2020 till February 8th 2021 when I was let go due to the company losing funding from HVCB. I worked as a customer service representative. I worked from home. I completely loved the job. I loved making the customers happy and answering the questions. There was plenty of bad apples who called every day and they were very upset. But I knew how to handle rejection from previous jobs I've had. So I really love the job and I'm sad I had to end. I recommend this company to anybody there a great small company.

While I try to figure out how to remove the rave we gave this company below, I want to stop other people from making the same mistake we made. Yes, HDT is has seductive pricing and really great workers who come immediately to set up. That's great.BUT - since day one we have had glitchy internet, internet so bad that Zoom meetings do not work. Every few minutes we freeze, making us look ridiculous to our local and mainland biz partners. Phone calls are just as bad - phone goes in and out within seconds, causing us to not be able to hear or be heard.Calls to customer service have resulted in the same response over the past two weeks: "we will update your ticket, your ticket is being looked at, we are having problems in your area, the repair man is out looking at your area now, we will let you know once the issue has been resolved."We have been hung up on twice by customer service (and we are never rude!) or maybe the phone cut out and we didn't realize. We have decided to move on, Spectrum and Hawaiian Tel are a much better way to go. A little more money but two companies that have the infrastructure and care about their customers. Super now happy. Please don't make the same mistake we made. Avoid HDT if you want to have reliable phone and or internet.

Internet was down long time they claimed it was due to Waikiki-wide HECO power outage. HECO confirmed no outage in the area. HDT lied. HDT changed story when confronted with HECO statement and said an HDT owned electric switch was really the problem. Frequent outages. My Island Colony AOAO Board Pres said just keep a log of outages. I racked up an impressive amount of outages over 6 months and my AOAO board still did nothing about it. I made a BBB complaint which was turned down because I am an owner, not the AOAO board and the AOAO is the one directly with the HDT contract. I have several Spectrum accounts with zero outages. HDT is rubbish. I just got another call from tenant saying internet down again. Hello Starlink - coming soon to your building! When starlink becomes available to all, we can kiss all the cable companies and mobile providers with monopolies and oligopolies and bad service goodbye. And all that noise about 5g will become irrelevant too.

Worst company ever. They always pretend that they are "escalating" your issue to another department! Lies... There is one or two people handling everything for (customer service) I'm still waiting on a call back from 3 wks ago. Everytime I call to transfer my phone number they just have excuses and no solution. If you call on a weekend they will not answer because nobody is there I assume. PS I rarely leave reviews EVER but I just want to save anyone planning on using this service the headache. Don't say I didn't warn you! If I could leave a negative star I would. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
