What a rip off. I bought four 3/4" carriage bolts which they charged me $5, at Home Depot the same bolts but 1" were .23 each. So I ask why so much and he points to a sign saying $5 minimum purchase. Never going back. Next time I'll go to Hardware Hawaii or Fastenal.

Whoever that young pretty boy is in there needs to be canned. I came into pickup some parts and I got no greeting just a stare. He then got me what I needed after a horrible attitude and shorted me parts. Guy didn't even count what I got in front of me to ensure proper customer service. I had to ask another employee to get what pretty boy shorted me.

Very helpful and great selection. I have a home project and this place has screws you wont find and Home Depot or Lowe's. Check them out but call first so they can check on their supplies first.

Reading these other reviews cracked me up. Because they were all in my position. Today I searched everywhere trying to find some nuts and washers for my ubolt. The staff went way over above and beyond to help me. Even jumping under my truck to find the exact fit. I can't tell you how much I recommend this place and I promise to bring my business back to this place. They made my day.

Seriously owner dude?I've been coming here for fasteners for my boats for 13 years. I bought some ss allthread to fix a steering problem for my boat. Needed 3 cuts. They wouldn't do it. Ended up at a machine shop where they did the job in under 5 mins. I asked 3 times, two different people, but the word came "from the boss" in the back. It is what it is I guess. I like the parking here better than Industrial Hardware, but there is no real reason to come back.Edit: no, you didn't have to cut that rod, and you didn't. I was hoping that 13 years of coming there would be worth something. It wasn't. Fish N Dive, Island Divers, Honu Watersports, those are a few of the names that will have a long history in your system. Name depends on the job. There is no need to call. Luckily, I relied on another business to business relationship that I've been going to for years and they helped me out. That was the first and last time I really needed something and the answer was no. That's fine, and now you know who I feel about it. It is unlikely you'll have to deal with me in the future.

My husband sent me out on a mission to find a 6/32 3 1/2 inch screw. After coming up empty at City Mill, Lowes, and Home Depot, I tried Hawaii Nut and Bolts. I arrived there at closing time. And instead of saying they were closed a wonderful young man named Rex looked for the screw. He told me that unfortunetly they did not have that size. But instead of saying "no I'm sorry" he asked what exactly it was needed for. This was my husband's project and I was just the gofer. He was happy to speak with my husband on the phone and came up with an alternative that worked for the project. What outstanding customer service!! Thanks Rex!

Amazed they had the one nut I needed to complete a project that every repair place said they needed to order from the mainland. Interacted with two of their great employees, one on the phone and one at the counter. Both were knowledgeable and professional. On the phone they understood exactly what I needed and without hesitation verified they had it in stock. When I picked up the part I was reminded why I love Hawaii; where else do you get treated like family even before you introduce yourself. This is my "go to" place in the future.
