I saved over $100 vs renting direct from the airport, including Ubering the mile here instead of walking - no good sidewalks to get you here from the terminal. The staff is super friendly. This is Hawaii, where Aloha trumps competence. You get both but it takes a little longer. My car was ready... sort of. The desk person went to get it and noticed the key fob battery needed changing. 10 minutes later they drove my car up and then washed it real quick. The gas was only 7/8 full but they noted it for turn in. During turn-in they asked if they could drop me off at the terminal. I was happy to tip the guy when he dropped me off. You get both competence and Aloha here. Slow down, save $100, and feel the Aloha.

Both cars had issues. Had to return my first car because the brakes were about to give out. Broken parts. Weird annoying noises. Rear view mirrors stained with water drops hard to see out of. Don’t waste your money. Also not very kind people working there except for one guy.

Why I can see on every wall the ad “check in online and skip the line” if it’s not possible to skip the line and you still have to wait over 1 hour to pick up your car? Not to talk about the process of actually getting the car in the garage…

I rent a car for uber at this location, the staff are always super friendly, happy, and go out of their way to help out when they can. It gets pretty busy during the 10am uber window, so bring your patience when you arrive. :)

This was my first experience renting a car from Hertz, and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. As a well-known car rental brand, I hoped for a smooth process, but it was quite the opposite. I received a text about online check-in for faster service, but when I attempted to check in through the app, it indicated that no cars were available.
When I arrived at the counter, I encountered a long line for check-in. After finally checking in, we faced another long wait at the car pickup area, where there were not enough vehicles available. We ended up waiting nearly 30 minutes to receive a car, which felt very chaotic.
During our trip, we also noticed that the maintenance light would come on every few days, suggesting that the vehicles are not being properly maintained. Overall, my impression of Hertz was disappointing, and I hope to see improvements in their service in the future.

Terrible. Booked a car on a Saturday and we got the run around from the people at car sales saying that they were open. Meanwhile the gate was closed. Turns out they are not open on Saturdays! Got a car at Avis across the street. Suggest you not go with Herz. Don't come here.

Don't choose the manager's special. For us it turned out to be a truck. It rains so constantly that it would have soaked our luggage. Our only option was to pay more than double for a different vehicle. At least the employee Kayla was very nice. She let us rent a brand new vehicle that's never been rented before. She even offered us a ride back to the airport when we returned it.

It's kind of far from everything but the airport, but there's a Hertz in the airport. I couldn't get my rental because my card issues, but I hope to get one as soon as I can. I hope they help me. They have good customer service and the agents are helpful.
