Everything is band-aid and budget. Just to make things appear/ look good. While the top, who's not even on thr front line doing action, is making 6 figures. At the end of the day you made the facility a little better with bubble gum and duck tape. By pass serious matters.

Excellent nonprofit helping the homeless, at risk of homelessness, and those with disabilities struggling with housing needs. Donate to this organization, they put it to good use.

I’m great full for IHS the staff is amazing they make the environment feel like you are part of the family. They are caring, the community within the walls of IHS are a diverse ethnicity and you become part of an experience of learning from one another, from food to clothing to languages. You feel it a safe place to lay your head take a shower and you have meals served all day and snacks people give donations and the staff give the to the residents. When your journey ends and it’s time to move on you receive assistance beyond your stay at IHS and that make life a whole lot easier when a care team has your back you don’t feel alone or intimidated with starting over because they don’t just see you leave and then you done with services. That means a whole lot to everyone. Thank you IHS…May god continue to bless this Shelter and it’s Staff and Affiliates and contributors. It’s people like you who makes the world go round.

It was extremely easy to get in touch with someone by phone to answer my questions about donations. It was also very simple to drop off the donations at their shelter. I called when I got there and someone quickly met us at their receiving area. All the donations are given to their residents which is awesome!

These people are entirely too personal with me. Looking for a veterans housing option instead, not feeling like a safe female here.

It was very crowded at the clinic that I went to. But at least when I checked in they took me right in.

A lot of drama plus the place has bed bugs. Some staff are friendly but some are not.

Right now I can not give them but one star I have been in the program for nearly a year and all they can do is charge me to stay and that's pretty much it no one is trying to help me to do any thing.

This review is for staff, Elizabeth Glenn (who is featured on the Hero Next Door). She is no hero at all. It's a facade. She is the rudest and unprofessional staff at IHS. How can I truly believe the compassion and dedication in her job when she cannot even respect others who work in the field? She looks down on case managers and social workers. I don't believe that she is kind to consumers as well. She is full of anger and hate. If you're unhappy and dissatisfied with your job, please quit. Also, there's discrimination at IHS. Not all homeless are welcome to IHS!!!!

Seems to be a great place, their hearts are in the right place and they really care about the situation that some of the homeless find themselves in. Clean facilities caring staff and both shelters have medical clinics right on sight A+ in my book for that being an exfirefighter & Emt I like seeing something like this.
