Be careful!!! On my recent move two of the only guys that were packing the first day in our house stole a very important ring that I wear everyday. I took it off to wash my cleaning cloth and put it where I always store it in the kitchen. I came back to it and we noticed it wasn’t there. A ring that is silver, beautifully crafted, but what’s more important to me it’s what’s inside of the design. I am very careful with my personal wearables specially that one, so I’m pretty sure they took it. The next day (last day of the move) I talked to them both and asked them nicely to please return it because of the meaning and what’s created with. They still say they didn’t take it.. I reported the situation to the manager and the situation it’s still the same. I ask again nicely please return it and clean your heart. It truly hurts!

Gary was awesome to work with. My move was quick, professional and carefully completed. His team was very efficient and I would definitely have them help me again.

These guys were so awesome! Quick, efficient, friendly. Quote was a perfect estimate and they finished everything in an excellent time frame...even after having to run back to Waianae to get the rest of our things. Highly recommend! :)

Unpacking was a nightmare. This company put so much random stuff in boxes it made Unpacking take forever. They also took everything apart and instead of keeping it together they put it in different boxes so I had to search every box to find missing parts.

These guys are the best crew at Island Movers (Mikey, Head guy and sharp... Charles, highly experienced and fast, Dane, helper and learning the ropes). We were up against a storm and had to reschedule, but days later...the storm popped back. But these guys moved boxes (50+) to the elevators and down into lobby to quickly load truck. The big furniture were moved in two heavy pieces and moved outside the door on wheels waiting for transport into lobby area. My building manager was trying to tell me how he wanted things. They blew him away with their speed, organization, and efficiency ...get out the way!!! Everything was out and onto next destination and ready to place items where I wanted in new apartment. Unbelievable, professional, reassuring, and not one drop on the furniture! I tipped them...don't forget guys, this is backbreaking work with no appreciation at times. My friend Caroline Sakai hired them and met up with them to get the job done. They are good guys, Ciao!

Would give them zero if could. Finally fridge I bought from Home Depot came in. See my post on Home Depot, they suck please go to Lowe's. They contracted island movers to deliver and install my fridge. They came fast bradas is nice so they good with customer service. Main guy came in took out my old fridge but when he undid the valve he said my part is old so valve was broke. House line started leaking. So what I did was turn off main line and blead the line so no more water came out. First if you deliver and install em you should no plumbing or no even touch the lines. The valve when it came out looked good condition and valve looked like he over turned it. Had to grab Brison again to help me and cost me more money. Need one good plumber for anything call Brison plumbing, good and professional and come quick when your house wet cuz movers not good brah.

Items were lost and damaged in transport to the Big Island. Reimbursement according to the company's policy is $.30 per pound and claim forms need to be completed for assistance on my case. My recommendation (especially for locals having to move a few items between islands) is to find a more reputable company where employees care about providing services and will NOT lose items in transport. I can't imagine what would be lost if I had to ship items overseas.

First before moving the load they had left five of our boxes outside near the elevator of the storage place where our things were being held.Second it took forever for our shipment to get to us because they sent it from the LA port it was supposed to be delivered to, too Chicago delaying our delivery by a few months.Third they deliver me my tv with huge crack across the screen. The delivery guy who was unwrapping our load told us that the tv they had broken was covered because they were the ones who wrapped it. After sending a claim over to the company and waiting for over a month to hear back from them, they quote me $22.80 for the broken tv that costs over $1100.00. They said it's covered $0.60 per pound of what was destroyed. This is unbelievable, if I had known they would pack my tv with nothing wrapped around it other than flimsy brown wrapping paper I'd have wrapped it myself in towels and bubble wrap.I wouldn't trust this company with anything you consider to be of value, your better off selling your things than taking a chance with them. I wouldn't doubt that they'll destroy something important to you when they ship it out.Ps when they say it's already covered they mean they'll pay you $0.60 per pound of what was broken. Don't believe them when they say to initial off on something and ask questions about it all no matter how fast they try to rush over everything with you. Also when told the General Manager Chris Tunoa would call and speak to me on the issue I only ever got contacted by people under him who don't listen to concerns and only repeated the same thing over and over, because it was initialed it was understood what coverage was given when obviously it wasn't explained.

Paid for delivery and install through a local retailer. Upon delivery, movers insisted they needed to be paid an additional $20 plus tax and tip to move the stove to install new stove. Upon refusal to pay the additional money, movers made my 8.5 month pregnant daughter in law to move the stove herself for them to place the new stove into the kitchen. Very unprofessional! I have been hearing more and more cases of island movers employees forcing people to pay cash upon delivery for services customers have already paid for.

I paid for delivery and install of a stove through a local retailer. Upon delivery, movers said they would only move the stove out if we were to pay an additional $20, tax and tip. Upon refusal to pay, the movers made my 8.5 month pregnant daughter in law move the stove out of their way to install the new stove. Extremely unprofessional.

They started off great. Very accommodating. But then they forgot an appointment to "virtually" look at my items to give me a quote. Which was okay. Someone called - took down notes. Then asked me what day I wanted to move. I told them - about a month in advance. I get a call two weeks before the date saying I never set up a date. Then I get told we can move your items - on a date where I told them I am already off island. And the only other date is way before I move out. I then wish to get some things they are holding for me back and they say it will be $1000 to pick it up. Not deliver it - but to have another company pick it up. Scam of a moving company.
