Stayed 3 nights check in terrible, waited 4eva even tho 3 people on front desk barely got a hello, I felt like I was checking into prison, no warmth, rude dismissive customer service felt like I was disturbing them as a guest to be checked in
Complained about check in, was ignored, big hotel, zero atmosphere rooms average, stains, mould, pain peeling in places, no flow of hotel...pool small as a curvy girl i wouldn't feel comfy swimming there. Unwelcoming, lifts slow ...felt like staying at a glorified train station. Yuck. Will never go back.

Great location and one of the more affordable hotels in the area! There's definitely a learning curve with their elevator system, but I prefer it as it keeps them running faster. My only complaint is I booked an ocean front view which costed more. By all definitions, I got a partial ocean view, but their website shows the room I had as ocean front? Basically, my hotel was aimed at the street, and I could see the ocean from the side, but there was an entire section facing the water that I wasn't in.

How can one tell a story without appearing angry, bitter, and cheated? How can one move on from a bad experience and focus on the positive?
To make a long story short, during my recent trip to Waikiki, I stayed at a rundown hotel that looked nothing like the pictures. The hotel lacked elevators for the 25 floors, washroom doors had loads of paint and didn't close properly, and the shower heads were too low. Even after paying $400 per night, I was hit with a nightly resort fee of $58, which was different from what I was told during check-in. On my last night, I was charged a smoking fee of $400 despite no one smoking in the room. The management refused to check the room for proof and there was no manager on duty to resolve the issue. The hotel staff, particularly Brian and Ashton at the front desk, were rude and unhelpful.
However, I spent most of my time in the north shore, lanikai beach, Haleiwa, and turtle beach. I enjoyed eating acai bowls, shrimp tacos, and shrimp scampi from Giovanni's or Papi's taco. I am grateful for going there and experiencing those beautiful positive people and places.
If you plan on staying in Waikiki, I recommend avoiding the Twin Fin Hotel and instead choosing a reputable hotel chain like Hyatt.
Aloha and like king Leonidas said in 300, may you live forever, Brian and Ashton.

Good hotel for the price. Not the most updated, but clean and spacious rooms. We were there to celebrate our 4th year wedding anniversary and info was provided prior to arrival, however nothing was mentioned or accommodated regarding our special occasion. Great location, walking distance to everything.
Rooms: Clean and spacious rooms

Hotel is older but clean, staff is helpful and you can’t beat the view of the beach. Breakfast at the Coconut Club was tasty and plentiful. Good value for the price.

Great views near everything close to the beach. Got a tiki bar connected.
Rooms: Normal rooms nothing fancy awesome view.
Nearby activities: Beach shopping restaurants everything!
Safety: They have friendly security guards.
Walkability: Nice open layout. And you can walk everywhere from here.
Food and drinks: There's a tiki bar and restaurant attached.
Noteworthy details: This is probably the best view of the ocean I've ever had at a hotel.

This place is average. The fact that their google profile says they are a four star hotel just makes me laugh but I guess quality is in the eye of the beholder. There was nothing bad per se but nothing was outstanding. Rooms were fine and thankfully clean compared to common spaces and gym. It was not overly friendly but not not friendly. Average. I would not stay again.

The location is very good close to many stores restaurants and across the street from the beach. Valet parking was very good but parking for guest should either be free or much less expensive.
Probably would not stay at this hotel again as the rooms are old were not clean, balcony door dose not close properly and is very heavy to open.
Rooms: Very worn out, paid a big price for a Junior suite but yet there is a joining door between rooms which you can hear everything from your neighbours.
I do wake up early but I should not hear my neighbours as if they were in the room with me. Smell marijuna not sure where it is coming from, and we were on the 24th floor so not from outside

It makes no sense to be charged an extra fee of $67 per night for the "hotel services," which include the in-room coffee maker, bottled water, beach towels, and gym—especially when you're charged the fee regardless of whether you use these services or not. We stayed for 9 nights, so the total amount to pay was $570. This hotel is not worth it; there are better options in Oahu. I have stayed in various hotels with the same services, and they have never charged such an absurd fee. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

The hotel is spectacular, the view from the room is perfect. The only thing about elevators during rush hour is with patience, it can take a while. The view from the breakfast place is spectacular.

Update. The lady last night was not helpful. The gentleman today made it right. Thank you Emerson for making my anniversary better.
This place is horrible. Ordered an ocean view for our 34th anniversary and we have a view of a building. The picture of the room we payed for does not look anything like the room we got. This place is tacky and dirty and they don’t give a crap if you’re satisfied. They are a dishonest establishment. They lead you to believe you get an ocean view and you don’t. Very disappointed. Staff is unhelpful and I would never stay here again. Aston banyan is a way better option.
Rooms: Misleading and dishonest.

Disappointing, we have been at the hotel for 3 days and our 17th floor has no hot water. They don't fix it, they don't change our room, then they give us a key so we can take a shower in another room. And they pressure us to take a quick shower. They don't give us time to shower because it has to be quick and there are other people in line. It is unacceptable that they haven't fixed the problem in 3 days, it is totally disrespectful. We ask the valets for a car and it usually takes 10 minutes to bring it.

This hotel is the worst.
First, the front desk staff was extremely irritating when we checked in. They glared at us, explained the hotel in a very fast manner, and showed no signs of hospitality. After answering our questions three times while being yelled at, we were given a deep sigh. I have never been treated like this before.
Secondly, my luggage, which I left at the front desk at 11:00 AM, did not arrive at my room until 8:30 PM. During that time, I had no change of clothes and could not use the amenities, which was very troubling.
The shower was broken and there was no hot water. I asked the hotel to change my room, but they refused. I was told to take a shower in another room the hotel provided.
It was the worst situation in Hawaii where you can enjoy swimming and not be able to use the shower freely.
We booked an ocean front room. My birthday trip, which I was very much looking forward to, turned out to be a disaster. I am really sad. I will never stay at this hotel again. Especially this front desk staff is the worst. I understand that they are busy, but their response is not right.

We could not take a shower because the hot water was not working. The room painting and its cleanness was not acceptable. Hand soap was loos and fell off. They did not come for cleaning for the entire first day.
