Breakfast plates used to be the reason we went here. Serving sizes drop on meat and increased on rice. This used to be the reason we chose this supermarket over others closer to home. Hope to see management turn this around

They have a nice poke bar in the store. They also have a hot prepared food section.

When I went to the service counter to buy a Holo card, Yuto, a Japanese-speaking staff member, translated for me, and I was able to purchase and deposit the money without any problems. They were also very kind and even told me the bus stop to Waikiki. I would like to go shopping again when I go to Kahala.

All the employees at this store are kind.As soon as you enter the store, you will be greeted with a nice and pleasant greeting by the female store greeter, and the sales floor clerks, cashiers, and employees in all sections will serve you politely and kindly. .I go grocery shopping once or twice a week. The cash register is not crowded and runs smoothly. It's very stress-free to be able to pay without having to wait in long lines. The only negative is that the parking lot is always crowded and it can be difficult to find a free space. The parking lot is relatively empty early in the morning, making it easy to park your car. (The parking lot is empty from 6am to 9am, before the nearby restaurants open.)

I was in a different area of town today and decided to stop in this local grocery store by Foodland. Jose in the meat shop offered me some chorizo. We discussed the “heat” before I tasted it. I only like it mild to medium. He said it was hot. I tried it anyway. It was very good. He walked me over to the location it was stored so I could buy some.I heard my name and looked up to see Randall. He worked in the meat market at another Foodland and remembered me. He let me know that they received local whole chickens. I bought one so I could put in the crock pot and make sour cream enchilada. It’s really a great experience establishing relationships with people so that we can help each other out. I will definitely return to this store!

The upscale foodland, def competing with Whole Foods and frankly I would come back here than Whole Foods because of their food options. I could spend hours inside this store.Foodland poke is undeniably one of the best.I learned to love Ahi poke because of them. If you love just plain sashimi, just get the poke without rice, it’s so filling you won’t miss the rice. Their Chocolate Haopia pie is interesting.

Expensive. Even more pricey than Whole Foods across the street and the Foodland Farms down the road in Aina Haina. So-so selection.Despite the limited selection, good quality products and friendly service. Well lit and welcoming. Don't think it is worth the price premium though.

If you thought Foodland Farms was a fancy grocery store, wait til you see this place. We like to call this “The Party Foodland” since almost everything that they carry seems to be geared towards hosting or attending a party, especially one that is fancy to some degree. Finding standard, normie people groceries is difficult here; if you can find them, they will be from high end brands or simply marked up a lot. The store is clearly angled towards rich Kahala folk, as its name implies.

We stopped in on the weekend and ordered a whole Mushroom Pizza since Reuben said it was good.I also ordered a few Grilled Salmon Filets from the kitchen. They make it fresh! Service is excellent! It was all very tasty when we brought it home. There's lots of refrigerated lunch and dinner items to choose from. Baked items are displayed nearby.I also saw some cool Nabe Kits and Shabu Shabu Meat! Perfect for a Hot Pot Night! YUM!Produce section looked nice and organized. A very nice market! Mahalo!

Staff so friendly it feels like such a family place, I love it! And the whole store feels so clean and neat with their own line of great snacks, its slowly becoming our island's version of trader Joe's!

GREAT POKE, SASHIMI AND SANDWICHES !!! If you don't mind spending a little more and are looking for great quality then this is a good place to shop for food. They have a nabe kit and several soup bases that you can choose from. Just heat and serve. You can also choose some fresh seafood and/or steak that's sliced thin especially for nabe. The kit and soup are sold separately. I've had the poke several times and I think the poke here might be some of the best and definitely the best as far as supermarket poke goes. The fish for the poke has always been fresh and the seasoning is not only excellent but it's been consistent. They sell Prime steak that's cut around 1 and 1/2 inch thick. I didn't get to try them yet but I'm going to in the near future.

Almost $20 for a chicken marsala plate & the chicken was overcooked & covered in mushroom gravy, NOT marsala wine sauce. There's a big effing difference & a high-end kitchen in Kahala should know that. Very disappointing. And $3 for a bottle of coke. And they wouldn't honor the "buy 9 meals get 10th meal free cards" Ive had in my walletWish I had spent the $20 at J Dolan's instead :(
