Kaka‘ako Farmers’ Market is a vibrant Saturday market located in Honolulu’s lively Kaka‘ako neighborhood at the intersection of Ala Moana Blvd and Ward Ave. Open from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon, the market features a variety of fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables, alongside numerous food vendors offering delicious treats. Although smaller than some other markets, it boasts a great atmosphere and beautiful coastal scenery, making it an enjoyable morning destination.
Visitors often recommend arriving early to avoid crowds and the heat, as the market can get quite busy, especially at popular food stalls. Many vendors accept card payments or Venmo, but bringing some cash is advised. The market is easily accessible from Waikiki, with ample free parking available.
While some attendees have noted cleanliness issues with temporary restrooms, the overall experience is enhanced by the lively environment, diverse offerings, and the chance to support local businesses. With options ranging from braised pork hanamaki to refreshing watermelon juice, Kaka‘ako Farmers’ Market is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy good food and local culture in Honolulu.
Good farmers market, best to arrive early as parking can become difficult and the lines can get crazy long for certain places. Overall really good food and good produce. Prices are on par with Hawaii.
