Our son and daughter both attended and graduated from KCAA Wai-Kahala and they both grew so much, socially and emotionally, from their experience there. We are so glad that we decided to send them there and highly recommend KCAA Wai-Kahala to anyone looking for early childhood development and kindergarten preparation. Our son was fortunate enough to attend and graduate before all the Covid-19 restrictions took effect and we really appreciated visiting the campus to view the classroom, meet with his teachers, and get insight in to his progress. Our daughter began enrollment pre-Covid-19 restrictions then transitioned in to the Covid-19 restrictions. Despite the restrictions, she also experienced exceptional social and emotional growth. Although we were not able to go on to campus during these restrictions, we were provided with updates on her progress and given the opportunity to ask any questions we may have had. A great school is a result of great teachers and KCAA Wai-Kahala certainly has great teachers. A big mahalo to the teachers our children have had (Ms. Tiff, Ms. Darcie, Ms. Cindy, Ms. Kelly to name few). Your caring and guidance in dealing with our children is so greatly appreciated and we are so blessed to have had the experience.

Both of my sons went to KCAA Wai Kahala. I was able to experience the school before Covid and during Covid. Ms. Tiff was both of my boys' teachers and she is a huge reason why, we loved the school. She had such a great relationship with her students and knows how to get them out of their shell. She is very artistic, as we saw all the projects being sent home with the kids. Ms. Cindy was such a sweetheart to my older son and worked well with kids. Since Covid happened, we unfortunately did not get to know the assistant teacher with my younger son. Ms. Michele was a great director, keeping us informed on everything that was going on. For health reasons, the kids learn a song they sing while washing their hands. Due to Covid, the procedure changed, we dropped my younger son off at the gate and they checked his temperature before he could go in. I felt they did everything they could to keep the kids from getting sick. Currently my boys are thriving in their elementary experience. My older son is a year plus above his grade level for Kumon. I really do believe the preschool gave him the foundation. My younger son will start Kumon next year. The boys loved their experience at KCAA Wai Kahala and so will your child(ren).

We have had the pleasure of sending both of our kids to KCAA Wai-Kahala, with my younger one currently attending the school. It's a wonderful place for kids to learn and prep for kindergarten, but also to make long lasting friendships. My older one (whose in 3rd grade now) is still friends with the kids she met at Wai-Kahala. I hope that happens for my younger one as well. The staff and teachers are so caring and fun! Many of the staff/teachers have been there for years. My kids are 4 years apart and both had the same teachers, who they adore (like Ms. Tiff and Ms. Cindy)! The teachers were also so great to identify my younger one was ready to try reading at 4 years old and would work on phonetics and send home early reader books for us to work with her on. Lastly, I really appreciated the health and safety protocols in place during the pandemic and even now. They put children safety at the forefront and that's what you'd want in an early childhood education facility. While parents can't go on campus yet, the Director (Ms. Michele) and teachers at pick-up (like Ms. Darcie, Ms. Megan) are always there to help with any questions or concerns you have about anything at anytime (ie. How much did my child eat at lunch?; Details on a potty accident, How are they playing with the other kids?; What can we work on at home with our child?; etc.).

My kid attended this school and we eventually moved to another school. Here top reasons why you don't need to send your kid here.1. Staff - There are so many staff changes. I wondered why so many teachers quit. First, the teacher doesn't care about every single kid. Just leave alone if your kids do not follow up with the group. 2. Parking - There is no parking space. So you have to park on the street but one homeowner on this street right across the KCAA gate, watching you through the camera. If you park close to their gate, they blackmailed you to tow your car. She actually threatened me.3. Number of students - 24 kids in one classroom compare to another preschool they accept an average of 15 kids.

Scouting a pre-schools for our 9month old. We like that they have separate classrooms for each age. Like a mini elementary school. They also accept children in diapers at 2years old and will help with potty with training. By 3 years old they need to be fully potty trained. The creative curriculum is not book based but more on experiences in a chosen subject matter from insects to buildings and covers everything from literacy to social skills. Top contender for our keiki.
