Keep It Simple is my go to store for basically everything. I can get all my cleaning products, face care items and even locally designed/made gifts for friends and family. The staff are always so kind and helpful. Go here if you feel like supporting the community + planet!

Great small business doing an amazing job helping to make Hawaii more sustainable! I feel that everything is affordable in there, considering what the products are and their quality. I would shop here for all my essentials if I hadn't moved off island!

Great place to buy cleaning supplies, soap and shampoo! I’ve purchased a couple of swimsuits too. Always friendly employees. I love being able to support a local business that’s good for the environment!

What a great store! We loved seeing all the cool refillable stuff, and also swimsuits, paintings, and other interesting things. Great for the Earth and also fun. Highly recommended!

Keep it Simple is a wonderful resource for refilling your bath, body, and home care products, along with reusable, sustainable, and locally made products. The store is beautifully designed, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the prices are great. I would highly recommend shopping there during the upcoming holiday season, since you can truly find something for everyone on your list.

Love this store! They have SO many products to re-fill, the staff is super friendly and helpful and they have a great retail section. I love their lemon laundry detergent, it lasts a long time and is high quality. I also regularly refill my vinegar, hand soap and body wash there.

I go to the Kaimuki location regularly to refill our household goods (i.e. dishsoap, cleaning supplies, etc etc) and it's always a good experience. Everyone is really nice, the product selection is helpful but not overwhelming, and I plan on shopping their other items (clothing, accessories, and so on) for holiday gifts in the upcoming months :)

I bought a Boheme swimsuit for $115 at this shop and the original swimsuit cost almost $50 less!! When I reached out to the shop via email to ask why they swimsuit was more expensive than form the original store and how their pricing work they tried to accuse me of attacking a small business with false claims. Your review reply to this comment is a completely different tone than the email you sent to me. I would recommend people just but the products directly from the businesses they came from.

National Earth Day is already this week, so there's no better time than the present to highlight a fabulous zero waste business. Thanks to Stacilei T who introduced me to Keep It Simple. This adorable shop is hidden amongst the various shops on Waialae Ave in the hip Honolulu neighborhood of Kailuke. Upon entering, Liza lit up our lives with smiles and joy. We strolled their shop while taking in all the beautiful aromas and asking her questions. They carry local products with a similar mission of protecting the environment and improving our health. Gotta love the body soaps by Keālia Organics, MeliWraps to consciously save or store food, and the 100% Cotton Dryer Balls with 'aloha' or pineapples sewn into them. Yet, their main product line is loads of natural, made-in-house soaps, shampoos/conditioners, lotions, laundry detergents and more. Purchase a reusable bottle and then stop in to refill whichever product when necessary. Switch up the scent if you so choose. Be sure to sign up for a free rewards account to rack up points for future savings. And more importantly, keep it simple, Honolulu! This place makes it super easy to integrate a healthier form of living. Now if only we had one of these stores in California...

I found your pricing confusing. The pricing says $$/ounce. I brought an 8oz jar for shampoo expecting to pay for 8oz. I felt mislead at the register when I realized I was paying for weight not volume. I would suggest advertising paying per gram instead of ounce since it can be confusing. This experience has deterred me from coming back.

Best place to find non-toxic products, soaps, and cleaners. Lots of local and Native Hawaiian brands. Quality for what you are buying - super concentrated so a little goes a long way = SUSTAINABLE! Love this place and the people!

My favorite zero waste store on island so far. A little pricey, but worth it for good quality products ?? I recommend a stop in for sure, even if zero waste is foreign to you. This is a great place to dip your feet in the eco friendly blow up pool ?

I LOVE this store!A few friends told me about it since they knew I was into sustainability but I’ve already returned a couple of times since discovering it! It’s a very unassuming store in Kaimuki, sandwiched between a Thai restaurant and a nail salon.I love the variety of things you can have “refilled” that is measured by the ounce instead of buying new personal care products that inevitably come in plastic (such as big spray, lotion, soap, serums, etc). They also carry a good amount of daily products like kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff (sustainable floss, toothbrushes, mouth wash, shampoo bars). I also appreciate the locally made things AND a little free section where you can also bring your containers to donate. Price seems reasonable for the category. My only suggestions would be to:1) consider expanding your product selection maybe to even include food items that can be weighed and purchased, and2) I would LOVE to be able to bring my beauty products to recycle here… I would even collaborate with the store or other customers on this. Brands such as the Ordinary, L’Occitane, and Nordstrom have programs (on the Mainland) that allow for anyone to bring any brand’s empty containers to recycle, but unfortunately we do not have this here in Hawaii. It would be amazing if we did..
