You'll like it if you like matcha and desserts. The parfait was really cool with all its different layers.

The store is in a courtyard with hanging lights and many benches to seat down. It's a nice, tucked away place to enjoy your cold snack in the evening.I recommend getting the matcha and sakura!

Honestly, the soft serve was a little icy... delicious matcha flavour, though!

Neat little place! It was right by my hotel which is super convenient, the service was super friendly, and the food was delicious. I only had their matcha and taro ice cream, but they have a lot of other options on their menu like tea floats, teas, and even limited time flavors like sakura blossom ice cream. It's also right by a very cozy plaza with string lights overhead and plenty of seating. Definitely recommend it.

It was close to my hotel, so I went there because I was craving matcha. Orders can be placed using a touch panel, so even those who are nervous about having a conversation with staff should feel at ease. I had the matcha soft serve and it was delicious.

Yum! ...the waffle cones were slightly thin and delicate for my taste but I would have them again.

Super tasty matcha soft serve! Not overly sweet. We did splurge for the opulent gold leaf. Worth it for the fun. Hahaha or just grab a double serving.

Cute hole in the wall shop. Walk in and order on the screen or the counter. They offered me a free sample to try the flavor before buying the whole cone. We ended up getting one of each. It was delicious!

My very first Matcha soft serve so I can't compare it to others (especially ones in Japan) but this was absolutely delicious! Like others before me have said, it's the perfect amount of Matcha and sweetness. It's not too sweet at all, you can definitely tell it's Matcha so this will 100% satisfy you if it's what you're looking for :)Sorry for the bad pic, I'm embarrassed of taking food pics and someone else said the soft serve melts very quickly (they were right, it's more liquid than your usual soft ice) so I didn't want to waste time taking the perfect shot.I will miss this place dearly when I'm back in Switzerland. Please support Maiko in my place whenever you're in Waikiki ♡

Our group loves matcha and it's hard to find good matcha ice cream, soft serve, desserts, etc.. I've been to Matcha Maiko before but in a different area and it was so good last time that I wanted to try again! Lo and behold! We found one near our hotel that was walking distance. It's an open stand and on the smaller side but there's seating outside. The ladies at the front were super sweet, polite, and quick with orders. We came here a few times and each time, the soft serve were consistent and we had no complaints! There's a screen to order and once your order(s) are up, the ladies will call your number on the receipt. Matcha soft serve in a cone: 9.5/10 - it was the perfect amount of bitterness in my opinion. I don't like super sweet matcha and this hit all the right notes. I could smell the aroma and taste richness the green tea leaves. If you don't like bitter things, then this might not be for you. There is a little sweetness from the cream that helps cut down the bitterness but it's not a super sweet dessert. I loved it so much that I came back the next day to try another soft serve. I added two mochi balls to the cone and it was perfection! The mochi balls added a chewy texture in contrast to the smooth soft soft, that was delightful. The mochi balls were perfectly bouncy, chewy, and not too sweet. If you want more than two mochi balls though, they give it to you in a small cup because it's hard to put the mochi balls on the cone. I also tried the matcha and vanilla swirl soft serve in a cone and it was delicious as well. The vanilla adds a little bit more sweetness than just the standalone matcha one. Ube swirl soft serve in a cone: 8.5/10 - I decided to be a little bit more adventurous and try ube/vanilla swirl soft serve. While it is really good, it wasn't my cup of tea. I like ube but not as much as matcha. The ube and vanilla went along really well and it's more sweeter than the matcha soft serve. However, after a few licks, I got bored of the ube flavor and forced myself to finish the cone because no one else wanted some. If you really really love ube, then this would be great for you. However, next time, I would probably not get the swirl and just the ube itself. Ube is purple yam and it's naturally sweet itself. My husband, brother's gf, brother, and BIL all got matcha soft serve in a cup. We all agree that this has got to be one of the best matcha soft serve places. They sell other desserts and drinks like parfaits, lattes, shakes, shaved ice, etc. I haven't tried any of them but I plan to one day! Overall, if you're looking for your matcha fix, definitely come here. Nana's green tea is really good too but it's a bit pricier than this spot.
