Peter and his mechanics were very professional, negotiated a good price and helped us buy a very nice used car for our daughter. I’d recommend max motors.

Max Motors was super helpful with getting a car. From looking on line to in person. One thing I like is that they did not try to sell me a car a didn't want and they didn't try to hide anything about the vehicle. They showed every little detail down to the paint job and if there is a problem they take care of it before it is sold.

Peter is truly exceptional, displaying remarkable empathy for people. If there's a single reason to choose this place for your car shopping needs, it's Peter. His expertise in customer service is unparalleled. When we encountered some minor issues with our Ford Escape, he went the extra mile to assist us. The owner also proved to be incredibly accommodating, offering us an irresistible deal. Furthermore, Roland, the mechanic who handled the minor repairs, also exceeded our expectations. From the moment I stepped in, I felt right at home. The entire process was seamless, and the title and registration were processed swiftly. I didn't need to set foot in a DMV, and I was able to secure a car for my wife within our first week on Oahu. The team at Max Motors, LLC are truly exceptional individuals. This is a prime example of how you should run a business, take care of your customers and they will take care of you. The owners here clearly understand this methodology, and it shows at every level within the company.I wholeheartedly recommend visiting them to explore their automobile offerings. Thanks again Peter and Roland. Take care, and talk soon, but hopefully not too soon LOL

Max Motors sold me a piece of trash 2015 Chevy Sonic a few months ago. They are selling junk salvaged vehicles to unsuspecting customers and claiming they are roadworthy. They repaired the car just well enough to drive for a few months then fall apart. I actually drove this car less than 500 miles then the head gasket went kaput and started to leak like a faucet.Don't bother trying to work with the manager or owner as they are very shady and untrustworthy.Look at the other (1) Star reviews before you buy from them and check their BBB rating and reviews also go to the ripoff report and other car dealership reviews websites before you buy here. Any reviews they have above (1) Star is most likely bought, paid and asked for TRUST ME!

*Update* I see the owner replied but still no effort to fix the car!BUYER BEWAREMILITARY MEMBERS BEWAREDo not buy a car here they will sell you junk, blame you for whatever problem the car has then give you the run around when it comes to scheduling repairs. I purchased a car here in May 2023 and almost immediately the check engine light comes on. I returned to the dealer and told the salesperson Peter about the problem and right away Peter connects the car up to a small diagnostic machine and declares the problem to be a “FAULTY GAS CAP” then states he would look for a replacement cap.Fast forward a few weeks later and still no gas cap, the check engine light comes on again, so I return to the dealer Peter checks the car and AGAIN states it’s a gas cap issue and that he is still looking for a replacement cap.So, after waiting more than a month for the supposed fix I am driving just a few miles from home and every single warning light this car has comes on, so I go into my local car service, and they tell me that I have a blown head gasket and that engine oil is mixing with the coolant in my vehicle. I called Peter at Max Motors and told him the problem; I sent Peter the report from the car repair service, and he told me to bring the car in. I brought the car to him, and he confirms the broken head gaskets. Peter says that he will find out what it costs to repair the car and work with me on the cost to repair it.WAIT WHAT!!! Work with me on the cost to repair a car you sold me that should have never been on the road AS IS and was not sold as road worthy. So, I waited a few days for Peter to call back and of course HE DOESN’T so I call him and yup he gives me the old “HEY I CAUGHT COVID AND HAVEN'T BEEN TO WORK” so at this point I know these guys are trying to scam me. Peter then passes me off to his manager named John who right away tires to blame me for the cars problems as well so of course we talk, and I thought we had come to some agreement on trying to resolve my car issue which turned out to be more scammy behavior. After two conversations with him in which I told him that I could not get to work, doctors’ appointments or even the grocery store Johns reply was “Well can’t you take a taxi to work or get a ride from someone else?” John then proceeds to say that he has also caught COVID and shut down his business until next Tuesday September 26, 2023, and that he cannot get a quote to fix the vehicle or help me at all until then.I even asked John did he expect me to believe that in the short span of 3 months that a vehicle would develop a cracked head gasket and faulty coolant leak system, especially when I only drive the car 12 miles to and from work with local trips. I have less than 500 miles on this car from May to September! In short instead of owning up to selling people JUNK and trying to resolve the repair issues in favor of your customer or client, you guys simply blame your customer, hide behind fake COVID claims (who even does that anymore) or simply lie about the extent of your mechanics ability to make these cars roadworthy.I will be taking my complaints to the State of Hawaii, the Department of Transportation, Yelp, the Better Business Bureau, Social Media and any other public space, permit or licensing source to have these guys sanctioned. Stop costing hard working people money and time.

Thanks to Jon & Peter I was able to get my mom into a ‘10 Corolla with VERY LOW MILEAGE just in time for her birthday.I told the braddahs my situation and what I wanted, I was looking for a car that needed no repair, excellent condition, with ICE COLD AC.Peter gave me a heads up when they got their hands on this gem. He had their detailers do a beautiful job of buffing/paint correcting. The car was shining!Jon had the vehicle serviced by their mechanic prior to showing, he had the recent receipts of everything they had done while they had the vehicle. He even replaced all 4 tires and tire pressure sensors for MY PEACE OF MIND. Jon was very accommodating by saving me the headache of worrying about the old car and got my mom rolling in something safe/reliable for her and the grandkids ??I really appreciate the honesty and excellent customer service that both Jon & Peter provided. The smile on my moms face, and happiness showed when they handed her the keys was priceless. ?10/10 would definitely recommend ??

I've had only the BEST experiences with Max Motors. My family, friends, and I have been coming to them with all of our car needs.I've purchased my first car here and Peter helped me from the very start - from picking out, test-driving, financing, and any bumps in between. When I had a concern with my car, he had me bring it in, checked it out for me, and I drove off the lot with no worries. This is the best local car dealership that I've dealt with and I've had a better experience here than at the Mercedes dealership. Thank you Peter, Jon, and the team for everything. I would not hesitate to come here again.

This car is a nightmare on wheels. I recently purchased a car from max motors, and the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I drove off the lot, I've regretted my decision, and I feel compelled to share my harrowing experience to save others from making the same mistake.First and foremost, the dealership's sales team was incredibly deceptive. They promised me a well-maintained, reliable vehicle, but what I got was a clunker on its last legs. The car's exterior may have looked shiny, but it was a mere façade to conceal the countless issues lurking beneath the surface. The engine problems started almost immediately. Within a few weeks of driving off the lot the vehicle constantly sputtered and coughed, leaving me stranded on more than one occasion. The transmission seemed like it was on the brink of collapse, jerking and shuddering at every gear change. It was as if I had purchased a one-way ticket to a never-ending cycle of expensive repairs. The so-called "thorough inspection" they claimed to have conducted was clearly a sham. It is now clear that they were more interested in making a quick buck than in the safety and satisfaction of their customers. To add insult to injury, the customer service was abysmal. When I contacted the dealership about my concerns, they were dismissive and unresponsive. They offered no assistance or compensation for the myriad of problems I encountered with the car. It was as if they had washed their hands of me the moment, I drove off the lot.In summary, my experience with the sales team here has been a nightmare from start to finish. The deceptive sales tactics, the unreliable and poorly maintained vehicle, and the complete lack of customer support have left me feeling like I've been taken advantage of. I strongly advise anyone considering a purchase from this dealership to steer clear and find a more reputable and honest place to buy their next vehicle.Save yourself the headache and financial burden that I've had to endure.

Jon was awesome! It was my first time purchasing a car and he made me feel very comfortable. He answered all my questions and made sure I understood what he said. He also helped me when I needed help with insurance. 10/10, 5 Stars. It was like I was dealing with a trustworthy friend. Thank you Jon!

I have purchased a car here a little over a year ago and have had numerous issues. Same thing that happened with one of the other users. I had to replace 3 tires after 10 months, there is a slight oil leak that max motors said was from the vacuum pump which they replaced and still had a slight leak. Tire pressure sensor went out after a month. The car needed a new battery at about 6 months. Then the A/C compressor went out at the year point. They have great customer service but the quality of cars sold seem to not be the best coming from auctions then resold by them. On the higher end of prices I have found after some research.
