I purchased masa para tamales and I was very excited to try it. I picked it up on Christmas Eve since that's when we usually make tamales. I never expected the masa to be frozen, so we had to leave it to defrost until the next day in the refrigerator. Christmas morning we were going to make them, and the masa had a nasty smell. This is the first time buying from here, and we were pretty disappointed. We ended up throwing the dough away and making the dough from scratch. It was a lesson learned.

This is such a great small business Mexican store. I get all my dried chilies here and great hot sauces. I love their home made salsas and pork tamales!

As a Jamaican, it is next to impossible to find Jamaican items on island. I almost cried when I walked into Mercado de La Raza and saw Grace items & Kola Champagne. I’m so happy I could find a little slice of home here

The only place here in Hawai'i that has all the Mexican things that I miss so much. And the lady and her husband are so nice!

What a cool little market! I visit Mexico often, and I've fallen in love with some products I can't in the U.S. until now. The owner is dedicated to researching the products requested so she can provide them. Love this place!

I made tamales for the first time and stopped here for the masa. My family makes pasteles but the banana is hard to get these days so I tried tamales. I didn’t know what I was doing so I asked for help with ingredients. They know and they shared info on what I needed to buy. Their peppers, herbs and masa flour were all priced less than I thought it would need. I shop here for other things too. They are amazing.

Wow !! Just wow !! New owners made it so much better and friendly the old owner was a grumpy boring person with no customer service !! But the employees here today were so sweet and helpful !! Found everything and more !!! Would love to see more Mexican chips and maybe chorizo that isn't $9 a serving !! But we get it ! It's Hawaii !! Got my salvadoreña fix today with the sour cream and cheese

Lots and lots and lots of goodies in here! Came in to look for a few ingredients needed but they had just sold out so I ended up buying other snacks instead. Employees are helpful and polite. Full on Mexican feel in here. Decorated with snacks, hats, chiles, cheese and then some!
