Shopping in Honolulu, Hawaii... Located across from McKinley High School, this Longs Drugs Store (aka CVS on the mainland) has free parking and a drive-through pharmacy. I used my GPS and found out that there's an entrance from Young Street, too! When I entered the clean, brightly lit, air-conditioned store, I was immediately greeted in a cheerful manner! I whispered to the kind staff that I needed to use the restroom... LOL! She courteously escorted me to the employee restroom... thank you so much! I was actually in a rush to get to an appointment, so I quickly looked around at my favorite things: bunnies, snacks, greeting cards, sale items (they thoughtfully post the weekly ad) and Hello Kitty cosmetics... and drove off... I'll be back!

I'll have to admit I don't shop at this particular Longs Drugs location to much, but when I am looking for something that is popular & "on sale", I seem to get pretty lucky when I go to this particular location that is right across the street from McKinley High School. Lots of parking available, as the parking lot surrounds the entire building. You can enter the parking lot from two streets, either from - Young Street or S. King Street. The only downfall about coming here is that there are quite a bit of "shady characters" who hang out on the sidewalks on the backside of the building, and I sometimes see them walking through the parking lot scoping out the cars. Aside from that, it's your typical Longs Drugs store. I like Longs, and they promote & carry a lot of local products, even if Longs Drugs is mainland owned. Longs Drugs has pretty much intergraded themselves within the local community, as they've been in the islands for ages. Yesterday, I came here to buy some cold cut meats that were on sale. Found what I was looking for, as I picked up several packs of smoked turkey breast cold cuts so I could make a few sandwiches for myself at lunch. Mission accomplished, as they had more than enough product, and I could pick & choose on whatever cold cuts I was looking for.

Posted about this Longs and its customer service before. Well nothing has changed since the last time my Family and I came. 1 person in particular, Erin a cashier. RUDE AS HELL, no greeting, no thank you, nothing. CVS you have gone down hill with the people you hire. But then again it seems the new normal from privileged entitled asses. My local in me wanted to put her on blast in public. But held back for YELP. A negative star for this dirty establishment.

I am so angry that I could yell. I was just at Longs this morning to pick up my meds. One of the meds had a co pay of $29.00 so I asked the tech to double check it. I know that the copay is wrong cause this happens every time i pick up this med. He comes back and insisted that it was correct. I asked him to check my previous pick up and it should be $10.00. He came back and said that it was submitted wrong, and he would try to fix it. I asked to see a manager. This is where it goes downhill. I expressed my frustration and requested that she annotate the records to reflect the correct procedures so that i don't go through this exercise again. Her attitude was yeah yeah ok. I am 69 years old and I'm wondering how many elderly costumers does CVS scam on their meds because they submitted it wrong. For us old folks $29.90 is a big difference from $10.00. Please train your staff and manager better.

This Longs is great! The pharmacy is so helpful and efficient and it's not super crowded. I can always find what I want and when I buy snacks that are locked, help is always nearby.

DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE! I REPEAT ! DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE! I would actually like to put no stars for the rating of the store. The Manager a Mr. Shay of has NO, I REPEAT, NO empathy for the safety of the customers that come to this store. Shop at any other Longs CVS except this one.

I haven't been to this longs in awhile and I just got reminded why I don't come here, even though it's the closest to where I live. They now have a self check out which I thought great, now I can avoid the long lines (only two registers were open with lines) but the worker Kristie managing the self check out decides to be "helpful" and scan every item for me which took longer for me to check out because her little phone device was lagging and when I said I can scan the items myself, it goes by faster on the register but she refused! If you don't trust people to use self check out then don't have it, if she wanted to be helpful she should've just hopped on the register and took done the line. Would've been faster than her using that device!

Love coming to this Longs! I usually come here when I'm in town because it is close to work.Stopped in for some greeting cards which have risen in prices. I love that the CVS app had a $5 off coupon if I bought $20 worth of cards which turned out because I need quite a few.The employees here are very friendly and even know me by name because I go there so often. They are always helpful and very welcoming.They are usually stocked with items and have great sales especially when it's end of the season. The prices are affordable and when they have value book, it's even better although they do have a sale every Sunday.I was happy that I found what I needed and was able to get in and out quickly.

Went to purchase some sale items today and also grabbed a couple of items clearly marked down with the price on it. Went to self check out in a rush because I had to go to the restroom badly and they won't let you use theirs! Anyway, didn't notice the marked down items wrang up at regular price until after I got home. Overcharged me $9.00. So now I have to drive back there. I tell the clerk who greeted me as I walked in, the first register just closed so she tells me go in line at the only other register open with a clerk. As I am waiting, they open up the first one again for customers AFTER me and a couple others behind me!!! Screw us already waiting in line. When I tell the cashier I was overcharged and show her the items, she tells someone else, whom seems to be a Manager,.... neither one offer any apologies, terrible customer service! If you shop there and don't want to get overcharged, take notice of prices that ring up at the register or check the receipt before you leave the store.

I went to pick up my prescriptions, one of them, they couldn't find, they looked high and low in all bins but couldn't find it. The girl told me they will search again that evening then call or text, but I got nothing. I pulled it up on the app, then I prepaid. Later I get a text it was ready for pick up. So I went in the drive thru this time, the guy that helped me, took about 10minutes looking for it with the help of another worker, during that time I was going to give up and leave but I pressed the call button about 3 to 4 times, the pharmacist just kept looking at me but didn't reply, I waved down one of the workers who was helping that guy find my prescription, she came on the phone and I told her this is the second time, she put down the phone and walked away, unreal. Then the guy comes on the phone, finally found it, acted like nothing and asked that my phone number was correct, I said you found it? He said yea it was in a different bin( not in those exact words). Not much of an apology, but kinda just brushed it off like nothing. I don't recommend this pharmacy. Bad service. I have to say, the first girl that helped me, was very nice and honest. So much for the guy and that girl helping him this 2nd time, forget it! And to top it off, that pharmacist, who I'm thinking was a pharmacist that was on the computer just looking at me, auwe!

Do yourself a favor and use a different pharmacy. These guys are a joke. Rude. Disorganized. Second time in 12 hours that I show up to get my prescription. They still couldn't figure out how I am supposed to take it. A very common medication mind you. Last time I made an appointment online to get a flu shot at a specific time. I still had to wait an hour. They literally canceled my appointment when I checked in. Ridiculous. Avoid this place.

Went to Longs to purchase a few items. I was directed to the self checkout to pay for my items. The associate, Patricia was very friendly and helpful in getting me started to checkout. 5 star service! One item was not the listed price and Patricia called for a manager to price check the item. A manager, Lisa, came and said that she'll check the price. I followed her and it was apparent that she wasn't enjoying her job. She noted the correct price, and sternly told Patricia what the correct price was. She exhibited an angry demeanor and abruptly left without any acknowledgement to me as I watched her. Customer service....zero stars for her. Patricia was very apologetic and quickly processed my purchase with the correct price. It's evident that customer service training for Managers is seriously needed, especially for Lisa.
