Moped wasn’t starting went in and he fixed it in like 10 minutes it was just a simple spark plug issue but then 2 days later it didn’t start again, so I went back and he realized he didn’t screw it on tight enough and didn’t charge me for it and he apologized. He could have easily lied and charged me more. Everyone there seems very genuine and look like they want to help, I trust this shop.

Got my moped safety check here and had a great experience! The process was quick, easy, and the price was very fair. The guy was really nice and professional — highly recommend this place to anyone needing a safety check or needs a brand new bike .

I rarely write reviews, but the owner Joe and mechanic Gerard truly deserve one! Joe went above and beyond to help me get an urgent oil change even without an appointment. He also took the time to explain everything I needed to know about safety and registration since I had just received a moped from a friend. On top of that, he gave me a generous military discount, which I really appreciate.
While I was there, I also noticed how they treated other customers — especially beginners who were new to mopeds — with patience, respect, and kindness. Both Joe and Gerard are trustworthy, professional, and genuinely care about their customers. Hands down, the best on the island. Mahalo nui!

Wish I could give more than 5 stars. These guys are friendly, personable, and go out of their way to provide service after the sale. They've helped my friends out even when they didn't purchase their moped there.

I had a wonderful experience at moped Direct! The team provided excellent service and took the time to thoroughly educate me on how to obtain and properly maintain my moped. They also assured me that they’d be available to help with any issues I might have in the future, which gave me a lot of confidence. Their professionalism and support ultimately made me decide to purchase a brand new moped from them two weeks later. I highly recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a reliable scooter and outstanding customer care!

I had very good experience at Moped Direct. Very good service and the BEST shop hands down. The mechanic knows what he's doing and fixes it quickly. I've been going to these guys for over 20 years, there is no comparison.

Just bought a new metro from them (3/19/24) I planned on buying a bike from someone, anyone, so I went to every shop on the southside of the island and asked for pricing,warranty, all of good stuff. Wasn't comfortable with the answers and the pricing was a little above the normal or you would get a bike not up to your standards..The last shop was moped direct..skipper the cute dog who is really in charge,greeted me at the door. As soon as I stepped in the door I got a feeling didn't get from the other shops...Aloha with a smile. Joe Shimkonis is a quality guy really knows his stuff. I asked my questions within 10 min sold Me a metro moped which I am very happy with. All with a smile really makes you feel welcome. If you are thinking of getting moped , highly recommend you go see Joe. 30yrs and still going strong. Thank you Joe from one very satisfied customer you guys made my day MUCH MAHALOS
