I don't understand the bad reviews! I have had many positive experiences here. I have had many pants shortened, paying the going rate for pants bought outside of Nordstrom. They are quite creative too, as I had a pair of pants that couldn't be shortened from the bottom because of a design on the pants. So the seamstress made 2 horizontal pleats below the knee (to shorten the length). The pleats went well with the overall design of the fancy jeans. That cost about $15 (about the same price for a simple shortening). I also had a thin, delicate sweater that I had snagged with a ring! An expensive sweater at that! They were able to weave matching thread and fix the snag. That cost between $12 and $15, much less than the sweater! I was so happy.

Had purchased a men's pair of pants, had them altered at the store. When I got them back, the hem on the length had a 2 inch difference from one leg to the other- seriously unacceptable from this level of retailer.

I needed some alterations on my bridal dress so I called Nordstrom at ala moana and spoke with someone there who asked me where my dress was from to go ahead and bring my dress, shoes and my undergarments. Scheduled an appointment for 8/25/18 at 11am. When I get there the lady there named Lee Lee ? Tells me they don't do bridal and proceeds to tell me all Nordstrom stores across the country don't do bridal when online it says they do. So that was one big lie. I was extremely upset that my time was wasted I have few days off that I can come in and do this and I didn't like how the situation was handled. Lee lee called the manager and told us to wait because the manager was on break I guess. If this store doesn't do bridal then everyone at the alterations department needs to be on the same page so people's time don't get wasted. So upset not coming back for ANY kind of alterations at Nordstrom ever again

Norstrom asked me to send them a private email concerning my alteration experience today and I did on May 15, 2018 addressed to a Crystal via their website, As of today May 23, 2018 I have had no response from them I can't say that I'm surprised but I thought I'd let you know. Lesson Learned!

I came in yesterday to see if I would be able to get my dress altered here. I inquired about it to an employee in the dress section and she called a seamstress to come down and help me. The seamstress quoted me at $220 just to get the straps and the bottom of the dress shortened. She told me that since it was a non-Nordstrom dress, it was double the price. After the seamstress left, the lady that first helped me overheard how much I was quoted and said "Yeah, that's probably more than you even paid for the dress." Wow. I was so taken aback by that rude comment, the dress was in fact much more than that. It's safe to say that I will never come back here again.
