Delicious authentic food. Ordered off the house specialty section. Dumplings and a noodle soup.Local area is a bit sketchy. Quite a few homeless. No one bothered us.

Had the jajang-myung....it was decent. The portions are small, but the warm tea was good. It was a bit sad eating my dinner with homeless people right outside staring at me through the window though. Jsjs.Parking: Good luck finding parking!

My go to when im craving seafood black noodle and sweet sour pork in Honolulu. Sign on the outside says Northern Chinese Cuisine but they serve kim chee, takuan and onions with black bean paste as starters. There are other similar restaurants in Oahu but this is the best?Portions and taste makes you come back for more, everything is served hot and right out of the kitchen. Parking can be tough during the day but evening free street parking is available. Service is adequate, when its busy you just have to flag them down. 5 stars???Parking: Meter parking in front and side streets and paid parking in back

This is one of my favorite Chinese/Korean Restaurant. I must come here when I want to eat seafood za Jang men or spicy seafood noodle! Also sweet and sour beef is delicious You need try it!! Severs are very kind and one lady speak Japanese. Price is reasonable

Everything is delicious, but the noodles are disappointing.If only the noodles had a firmer texture, I would have given it 4 stars.

The order was Chinese food for tonight from 3 places. There were people that like "fake" Chinese AKA Panda - but they know what they like so this was an easy order. The second place was On Dong Chinese restaurant which is more "Korean" than Chinese but has made some good food in the past. We took a look at the menu on their website and ordered 2 orders each Spicy chicken and a Pork dish. I was designated to pick up the food. As I went in, I heard them say $95.. I figured, can't be mine. Then as the register was wrung, I saw $69 (remember this number!!!!). More like it. However, when I went to pay, yep, it was slightly over $95. WOW. This place used to be pretty affordable. Since I didn't do the order, I just paid and asked my wife to call and check. She called them and referenced their prices on their website and was told "oh that's long time ago". Uh...... Man, these places need to fix their websites! For example: Sweet Sour Pork - $16.95 on their website and another chicken dish - $17.95. Wait. $16.95 + $17.95 = $34.9 Two orders of each (34.9 * 2) = $69.8 - remember the $69???? SOMETHING IS SUSPICIOUS THEY OVERCHARGED ME $26!!!!! OK, so now, this affordable place has raised their prices too much OR overcharged me on purpose. In addition, the spicy chicken was not the usual way they make it. It looked very plain and didn't have the great taste that they are known for. We figured out why later. They forgot to put the sauce over the chicken for both orders! In addition, the food was light! You know local people, the food has to have some weight! It was less than we usually got before so I know something is wrong. I usually don't like taking out because it seems like they give less in general. Maybe something changed, but at those prices, there are a lot of more affordable places. And if I pay that much, there are a lot of other places I'd rather go to. We went to the 3rd place which was more "authentic" and I kid you not, 2 orders that cost almost a third of On Dong, was twice as heavy as the 4 orders. Maybe the weight is one of the determining factors of Chinese food? (Just joking). OMG - my wife pointed out, that right on the Yelp page, it says Sweet and Sour pork - $16.95! Too bad as this place was one of the places where we make the rounds.

I was worried that On Dong might permanently close during the Pandemic. However, they are back and busy as ever. Portion sizes have also increased back to normal. It's a great place for champong, tangsuyuk, and jajang myun.

I would say... This is the best korean style Chinese food restaurant(중국집) in the entire world. I am not joking. I had best 짬뽕 and 짜장면 that I have ever had before at this restaurant. What made me surprised is that the best 중국집 is in Oahu not in Korea.

Always love eating their jajang myeon! People who are saying the staff are rude were probably rude themselves. I’ve dined here multiple times and have never thought their service was bad.Would highly recommend if you want to try some black bean noodles!

Got takeout of regular black bean noodles and sweet and sour pork. They make their black bean noodles with a stronger black bean flavor, which I didn't mind. Their sweet and sour pork had a good meat to batter ratio and the sauce had a stronger acid tang to it which made it pleasant to continue eating throughout the meal. Service was fast. The con is that their portion sizes are smaller and their prices more expensive than their local competitor (Dowon). They also don't have a lot of parking (mostly street parking).

We walked in not knowing what type of Chinese food to expect. It's a blend of Northern Chinese & Korean. Ordered the House special Za Jang Mein (Black Bean) and Sweet Sour Shrimp. Glad we did, delicious not salty nor spicy for both dishes. Sides of Kim Chee, Daikon and Sweet Onions. Delicious, filling and satisfying. Also has lots of Vegan options.
