Run down sad. This used to be such a nice clean well stocked pet store. Fish section is depressing ?

Please don’t shop here. The live animals (birds, fish, Guinea pigs, chinchillas, etc.) they sell are kept in terrible condition. The whole place is gross and stinks and just needs to shut down already.

Store is old and very dusty and dirty sales. People aren’t that nice and management are very stern. The puppy Swap Meet is not the greatest.

I love fishes. Someone told me that they had a great selection here. I decided to check them out. Indeed, they do. They had a huge selection of beautiful and colorful fishes. I wanted to buy some, but my tiny tank at home can't hold anymore. Maybe I'll get a bigger tank in time. I noticed that their prices are also a little less than in town. They also sell baby chicks, birds and a lot of pet supplies.

Wish prices weren't so high at this store. Amazon is taking over with cheaper deals. I do enjoy coming here to buy fish, not many places on this side of the island sell live fish

Lauren was very helpful in getting us up to date with a new beta fish... the selection for every department was very broad, and the prices seem very fair. Location has ample parking, and again the staff are exemplary!

Petland is an independent local shop that has served Hawaii pet lovers for many years. It was at Hawaii's largest shopping center for years before moving to a smaller location across from Kahala Shopping Center. It offers a wide range of products for dogs, cats, fish, birds, rabbits and other animals, as well as an eclectic. selection of animals.

i’d give zero stars if i could, due to the fact that they don’t properly care for the small animals they sell. i usually won’t step foot in pet stores but unless it’s absolute last resort, but after today i never will again.they keep extremely timid and frightened guinea pigs (plus bunnies and chinchillas) in the smallest cages near the cash register, which is the loudest area of the store. they don’t even give them a small box or anything to hide under when they’re afraid, and this is extremely stressful to these poor animals.if they knew ANYTHING or CARED for these small animals, instead of just selling them like another product or toy, they would provide them with the bare minimum and educate the public on their needs! especially guinea pigs, since they are herd animals and need at least 1 companion, to prevent them going into depression and dying from it.treat small animals with the same respect you’d give to cats and dogs! i walked out in tears today seeing the stressed little prey animals.go to waimanalo feed for your needs, they don’t sell animals and are half the price!end speciesism!!!!!

Unfortunately, Petland really seems to have taken a hit from the pandemic that it has yet to recover from. Very understaffed. Most of the cages in the bird section are empty. Prices aren’t very competitive anymore. As others have mentioned, the aquatic section took the biggest hit. The fish look terrible, especially the bettas. Dwindling selection with a lot of empty or redundant tanks. All of the aquatic plants have bug infestations. We’ve shopped at Petland for years and we want to support local, but the current conditions at the store make it difficult to continue to do so.
