I’ve had such a positive experience with this storage facility. The place is always clean, well-kept, and I feel completely safe leaving my belongings here. From the very beginning, the manager, Donna, has gone above and beyond to make everything smooth and stress-free.
The whole process went so quickly and smoothly because of her support. What really stands out is that she treats customers with genuine care—she always greets me with a smile, answers questions right away, and makes me feel valued.
It’s rare these days to find someone who combines professionalism with such kindness and attention to detail. Donna is truly the best, and because of her, I not only trust this storage facility but actually enjoy coming in when I need to. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for safe, clean storage with a manager who truly looks out for her customers.

I am a Social Analyst. As such, I scrutinize and dissect people's behavior and how what they do ~or do not do~ affect other people's lives.
With arms up in the air, I ran away from five [5] of the well-known storage facilities in Honolulu. I did so for one primary reason: management personnel. They are totalitarian, disrespectful, and abusive. Public Storage on 2888 Waialae Ave. is the sixth storage facility that I moved in Honolulu.
Manager Ms. Paris received me with a sincere smile on her face investing her knowledge for me to comprehend the options available BEFORE I sign the contract. Days after, I moved in. It was when another lady Manager Ms. Donna approached me to welcome me. She also treated me with kindness and respect.
Those are human qualities none of the other five [5] managers and their office personnel possess.
After six [6] months as a tenant at Public Storage on 2888 Waialae Ave. I can rightfully assert that this is a rare storage facility in Honolulu. Yes, it is rare. It is so because its office personnel carries the flag showing the way and vaults above all five [5] major competitors in Honolulu landing well ahead of all of them.

Mahalo to Donna for her initial kokua (help). Facility was clean and comfortable. The unit had ample space for what I needed.
Checking in was Makai’i (good) easy and instructions was clearly explained. I was also escorted to the storage unit and further instructed on the unit and access to elevator usage. Sorry can’t remember all the staff that helped me. They were all very professional and answered all my questions regarding the storage unit and and public storage background.
Checking out was extremely simple and easy. Except that I forgot my access code for the elevator. I checked out on 01/17/2025 at12:40 pm Hawaii time. Donna co-worker help me with the elevator code. Wish I could remember her name.
Public Storage on Waialae ave if I could give a rating it would be higher than what it is. Aloha spirit lives at this facility. Maybe because I am a Kupuna they treated me with utmost courtesy and respect. I know it’s not easy working with the public. I give all the staff my aloha for working at any of your facilities. I worked in the public sector for the University of Hawaii. I am retired. Mahalo to all for working.
Finally I hope your staff members get comparable pay for living in Hawaii especially those in front and behind the scene. Covered fully for Medical/Dental/and Vision. Your rate for storage unit is fare for what I needed.
I hope to continue using your facility in future when it is needed.

Very welcoming staff and Donna is our favorite!! She is always so kind and we look forward to chatting with her- especially during stressful moving days where her good energy goes a long way. Rental process is easy and customer service is helpful if needed, however one downside is that you have to rent for full months at a time. Overall a great place to store your things and have peace of mind that they will be secure.
