Such an amazing organization, staffed by incredibly kind and wonderful people, supported by many volunteers and donations from the community. A bright light of help in our darkest hours of need. Ronald McDonald House is a true testament to the kindness and generosity of Hawaiians.

In January, I had the privilege of volunteering for the Miss Hawaii Pageant 2023. I meet Jerri Chong who is the president of the Ronald Mcdonald house. Today we met up for a 3 hour lunch. Jerri invited me up to the Ronald Mcdonald House.Their mission is to provide a home away from home to families whose children are sick and in need of doctors care. The Ronald McDonald house offers a private room for up to 10 families. This house is fully stocked thanks to generous donations and year round fund raising. Families stay for free as long as medically necessary. The layout is very creative, utilizing every single space and acknowledging supporters and donors. Theres a unique palm tree "one of a kind" for all the donor plaques. with 10 white soaring birds to represent the 10 families. A huge kitchen for all, fully stocked pantry, 2 huge living rooms as well as a handicap accessible bathroom. This mansion was well thought out, and the home feels so welcoming. A place where family's can come "home" to and enlarge their ohana thru support from other families and believing that love conquers all.Sorry I didn't take any photos out of respect of privacy. Please look out for year round fund raising as well as dropping off donations.

First off I want to state that this is a great org. For s great cause however, my issue was with the house manager hefty woman kanoe. I made a few requests to her not knowing she was the house manager and she was very dismissive about making any accommodations. Then everytime my family would pass by she would find a reason to complain to us and eventually kicked us out. My family felt she was bullying us and didn't want us there to begin with. We noticed that she favored some families and bullied others. Throughout the years we have encountered other families with similar treatment.

It is a house of hope and love. The staff and volunteers are wonderful. It is a blessing to me and wife to be here while our daughter undergoes her treatment. Thank you RMHH for your love, support, and generosity. God Bless.
