This Safeway is the worst, almost always out of stock on various items and relatively expensive, that is if you can surpass the seemingly worst designed parking lot ever and make it inside. The only saving grace is the 50% baked goods rack by the deli

So sad new management here with major power trip issuesUse to be a great location but 1 bad manager can make it unpleasant for employees and customer. If you have another Safeway a little further away it’ll be worth it. Horrible dirty store anyway but the people use to make it pleasant at least. Now Ms someone gave a title to and it went to her head will make up here own store policies as she goes along. Never smiles extremely rude and unprofessional. Please refrain from giving the wrong people titles that then decide they can do whatever. Do better Safeway you can find better help than this

The cashier is not a friendly person, I went to buy a watermelon yesterday and I saw the label was $6.99 each, but when I paid it showed more than $10, I asked the cashier why it didn't match the price on the label and she retorted I picked it up by mistake, and later I discovered that there were two price tags on a watermelon, and the supermarket tried to overcharge me. What makes me even more angry is that the watermelon I opened today has gone bad. What makes me even more angry is that I bought some items at noon today and was about to pay. The cashier on the far left, a middle-aged woman, asked me if I needed a shopping bag. I originally said no, but then I thought about the fact that there were many more in the car. I changed my mind about the things and I politely told her that I still needed shopping bags, but she looked at me angrily and said, didn’t you say you don’t need it? As if I had done something wrong. This put me in a bad mood all day today. I really hate people who get angry at strangers for no reason. Such unreasonable people should not appear in life to affect other people's beautiful day. It's really disgusting.

Smaller store, but super convenient to Salt Lake and the airport to get most stuff and the staff is really friendly.

Management is super helpful amd friendly. Some of the staff go above and beyond and are really polite and helpfulLove shopping here, just wished they didn't run out of so many items.

Safeway Salt Lake found my cell phone and returned it!!! THANK YOU SAFEWAY Customer Service!On Fri. 3/31/23, I somehow left my cell phone at Safeway in Salt Lake. Didn't realized it was missing at first. When realized, thought I'd left it in my car. I called my cell# Fri., went to VM. It was late so I decided to check car the next day. Later Saturday, I received a call from my missing cell #.Strange!- if its in the my locked car, how was Safeway Cust. Srv. calling saying they have my cell phone.? How is it that they could call me as my phone has a lock on the display?He explained they found my phone and were able to research my Safeway membership account then did Emergency call.Thank you Safeway- for putting forth extra effort to return my phone! It's greatly appreciated!!! Cuddos to the guy in CS! (Sorry forgot his name. (Starts w/ J - I think)2nd Story - Earlier that week on Wednesday I bought V&S chicken wings. Pre-package in a Brown bag and taped closed with the price sticker. Get home prepared rest of my dinner, then opened bag pored chicken wings on my plate from the back and every piece was crispy -crackely black burnt.Call Safeway asked the speak to the manager. Rosie came to the phone. I explained situation to her and asked do we need to start opening the bags and checking the chicken before purchasing??? She said "that should not be necessary and she would take care of the situation and speak to the people working the Chicken section". I returned to Safeway in Salt Lake to return the chicken wings, spoke with Rosie- the Store manager. She made good on her word to take care of things - I was able to get another meat dish for my dinner, at a reasonable price.Thank you Rosie!!!

It's just a basic Safeway. I was in a pinch to get some poke for my lunch on the place on the way back to California. I didn't have to run to Foodland so this place was the closest option. Their poke selection is pretty decent and I wasn't disappointed.

My son and I sustained very minor injuries in the store (our fault) and the staff (Davelyn) and manager on shift ran over right away to help clean us up. They checked on my son multiple times and even bandaged his small cuts. I really appreciate them going above and beyond to care for us. They did not once make us feel bad about making a mess. The incident happened on 2/14 around 8 pm. Just wanted to give a big thank you to the amazing staff on shift for their superb customer service.

I seriously hate coming to this Safeway! Even though I only live a couple minutes away, I avoid this store at all costs. I can deal with the empty shelves & it being outdated but, what I can't handle are the unhelpful managers & cashiers that I encounter in the morning...they seriously lack any customer service skills whatsoever. Especially Lannette. Her nasty attitude is so uncalled for.

The past 2 days I went in certain areas were blocked off as they were deep cleaning I'm assuming. I understand and love that, but it would have been nice to have some kind of notice at the entry. They blocked it in a way that felt like a maze only to lead to a blocked off dead-end. Had I known I would have just went back to my car and drove to the next store. Came back today and none of the aisles were blocked. Great! Got stuff that I wasn't able to get the previous days and went to Self Checkout. I asked the attendant for a bag as I had purchased one and she ignored me and walked to one of the registers. Thanks for the A+ customer service, Lynn! Good thing I saw some paper bags on the dog food section lol. It just felt like they didn't want my business and that's fine. I come here for convenience as it's down the road but I don't mind driving a few miles to town for better service and prices.
