I am late in writing this review but I said I would so I am delivering! I went in to get a couple of items and a new hair dryer for my sister’s birthday. Sue was absolutely the sweetest and easiest to work with! She greeted me when I walked in, I walked around and got all of the items on my list and since they didn’t have the T3 hair tool in stock - she made ordering it and shipping it to my house a breeze! I got it in a couple of business days and shipping was free!! Thank you again Sue!

Lucio hopefully I spelt his name right but he has the best customer service. Honestly think he needs a raise. I always love coming to this Sephora location:)💗

Lucio I believe his name was, assisted me. The help he provided was 10/10, A+ in trying to find the right makeup for my pigmentation issues. For probably 20ish minutes he helped me make sure I left with a smile on my face. I just wanted to share with the leadership how knowledgeable and caring he was. Thank you!

Let me start by saying that the staff that eventually helped me were incredibly nice , despite looking around for almost 10 minutes for someone to help me then having to stand in line for a cashier to ask her if I could get someone to help.,
The issue I have is the lack of knowledge of their own products. They just recommended stereotypical high review products as opposed to products that are specifically designed for certain types of skin as well as age.
One thing they did I thought was absolutely disgusting was when they do the skin scan. There’s no sanitation or avoiding cross-contamination between customers, he didn’t even wipe it off on his shirt, he just stuck it to my forehead and cheek. Who knows where that thing’s been! That process absolutely needs to be changed such as caring little alcohol pads and wiping the sensor in front of each customer they scan.
Another tactict that’s absolutely pointless was applying makeup on the jaw, considering no one ever said “oh my gosh, you can see the pores and wrinkles on my jaw”. I had to ASK if they could apply it on my forehead since that was the main area of concern for light melasma. The eyeshadow was just tested on my hand which transferred quite easily. The lip stain was applied as though my upper lip was shaped like a straight arch. Being that I don’t wear make up, I wanted to try certain products to see the longevity as well as the effect. When I walked out, my lip stain was already crumbling and when I looked in the mirror outside, it was so bright and eyeshadow was so dark (what was left on my hand), which had the eyeshadow been applied on my actual eyelids, I would’ve left the store looking like a gaunt Crypt-keeper. The shine from the light foundation never went away despite them telling me it needed to just “Oxidize”.
The first lady who helped me noticed it was my birthday this weekend (from my account she just help me set up) therefore said there was some bag or something she was going to get for me, but she just disappeared and forgot all about it.
Again, the staff was nice and I was initially impressed that one of the staff members told me someone else would help me because they were a “real make up artist“. I was trying to make friendly conversation while bringing up specific points, such as telling him how being a make up artist is impressive because it’s a lot of science since you have to know the reactions of different skin types as well as different ages. He seemed to know what I was talking about but the things he applied and the places that he applied the products at showed otherwise.
All in all, despite the acting nice, I’m just completely disappointed with the entire experience. I walked out with worse opinions about cosmetics and Sephora’s knowledge. Also, while trying to find the exact shade online of one of the products I was shown, I was shocked to see it was $48 at Sephora and only $11.50 at Walmart for the exact identical item. Walmart carries a lot more than most people realize because of third-party stores and sellers. You just have to go online.
I think I will just stick to my Tretinoin, sunblock, and mascara

I didn't take a picture of the item, but it was nice that the staff seemed friendly.

Feels quieter than Waikiki. I found a waterproof lipstick for $28. It has a kind of juicy feel to it. It doesn't come off easily, which is nice.It has a large capacity, is large and is convenient to use, so it is perfect for the groom. $48 Surprisingly satisfactory. Stiff. milk lotion

The customer service at Sephora Kahala is so amazing that I needed to write a review. Every time I've walked into the store, I've been greeted and helped by smiling faces. The workers are so cheery here.I got my makeup done by Lucio recently and he did a fabulous job. He gave me exactly what I requested for.I will definitely be frequenting this location more than the other (busier) ones.

Came here after aimlessly wandering the rows and rows of makeup at the Ala Moana Location with no assistance in sight. Was instantly greeted and paired up with Colby who listened to everything I was looking for and was able to provide me with great recommendations. That poor boy ran all over the store pulling product for me. He walked me through application process and gave me some tips and tricks on how to build up my makeup for more coverage. I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to makeup and I've had the same routine since I was in Middle School, so I really appreciated his guidance and his friendly demeanor. Will 100% be coming back to this location for all future makeup purchases.

Free Birthday StuffOuai didn't I do this soonerI don't even shop here but I was told to get free birthday stuff. I was skeptical but I showed them my ID and they gave me free stuff! I usually don't put cream on my face... especially white creams... but this time I did! Whoa, was it really my birthday? More like they took away my birthdays. Never in my life have I been more younger looking and handsome. Thank you Sephora!

I love makeup. I used to be a VIB Rouge for years before the pandemic. Ever since we had to wear masks I haven't been into makeup as much. I didn't want my foundation and lipstick smearing all over. I don't really wear that much makeup anymore. I used to do my whole face. This is the first time I stepped foot in this location. Ala Moana is my home store. We were at Kahala Mall, so I figured that I would come in and get my annual birthday gift. They usually give you three or four choices to pick from. This year I chose the toner and serum combo from Glow Recipe. Thanks, Sephora. The workers were really nice and helpful. They greeted me when I entered and when I left. The cashier was patient when I had to pull up my account on my phone. She smiled and was so friendly. All sales associates should be like her.
