After torturing my partner with jewelry shopping at Ginger13, we stumbled upon this vintage clothing store that is a treasure chest of goods.
Both of our grandparents were born and raised on Oʻahu, and this vintage store brought back so many memories. The owners were incredibly down-to-earth and fun to talk story with.
I scored a green palaka shirt that I plan to rock on the beach for Christmas, plus picked up some screen-printed shirts as gifts.
There’s also an upstairs room with more premium pieces, including collaborations with Japanese brands. Shout out to the cool mom that was buying gifts up there for her son.
I’ve never really been into vintage shopping, but Single Double completely changed my mind. This place was more than just a store- it was an experience, and one I can’t wait to revisit.

Buyer beware. I experienced what felt like a bait-and-switch at the cash register. I brought an item to purchase at the tagged price, but the staff member told me the price had “gone up” and needed to be updated. The new price was much higher than what was on the tag. it is unlawful for any business to engage in “unfair or deceptive acts or practices” according to Title 26 of Hawaii statutes in trade and regulations.
I was shocked and honestly too embarrassed to confront the person in front of other customers (I'm assumning it was the owner). The experience left a very bad impression, so bad that I am writing this review. A used shirt ringing up to around $65 felt like robbery compared to what was displayed.
This left such a sour taste in my mouth that I went to Salvation Army the next day instead and bought $3 vintage shirts. Prices shown to customers should be honored, and practices like this undermine trust and brand.
I will be contacting the Hawaiʻi Office of Consumer Protection regarding this experience to file a complaint.

I used to come here to shop. Had no issues until one time. I was just looking around in the store to see if anything new stood out. One of the Owners Justin said to me What are you doing man, scoping out ideas for your own store. I was kinda taken back by this coming from a business. He said If I wasnt buying anything then get out of my store. Maybe dude having bad day, but not a way to run a business. If your looking for cool vintage items feel free to check out my page on IG at @thaicano555
PS. I wont bark at you for just looking at my items..LOL

This place is a gem amongst gems. The owners carefully curate the store to feel like you’re sorting through a cool house full of vintage treasures and THEN when you find something that has been waiting for you to find it, it’s reasonably priced! Anyone complaining probably isn’t cool enough to see why this place is so special so probably better they don’t come here and try to vlog without permission and complain 😹

Single Double in Oahu is one of those rare gems you never forget. The vintage and pre-loved collection is incredible — every piece feels like it has a story. What makes it even more special is that most of the garments are hand-picked by John and Justin right here on the island. You can feel their passion and eye for quality in every rack. On top of that, shopping here isn’t just fun — it’s a great way to support a small local business and make a sustainable choice at the same time. John and Justin are genuinely some of the nicest people you’ll meet, and this spot has become a must-stop for me every time I’m in Hawaii.

They have a wonderful collection and the owner is very kind. He was very knowledgeable about the items in his store and is clearly very passionate and skilled at curating his collection of vintage clothing and items. Don't skip visiting this gem in charming Honolulu Chinatown. I'll certainly be visiting again on my next trip.

Unpleasant smell right by the door entrance and HORRIBLE customer experience. I found this place thru social media and was excited to visit.
When I came in, I had my camera with me and didn't see any signs of no photos/videos anywhere so I proceeded to take videos for my personal vlog as I was traveling to the island for vacation. I've taken videos in other stores before and would always respect the store's policy of no cameras as soon as I see it.
That said, I was taking videos while shopping thru their products when the employee yells at me from across the store asking what and why I'm filming. I felt embarrassed as the other customers had to look at me while I explained myself. I quickly disclaimed that this was for a personal vlog and purely just out of hobby and that I can delete the videos if needed. Have I been told respectfully to stop filming, I wouldn't be writing this review.
I literally found out about this shop on Tiktok where a girl was filming herself around your store with a detail oriented video about the products you sell. If none of these are allowed, then get clear about your policy and post it right in front of your store.
