You can 100% trust John. His service is quick and painless. Cost of screen repair at Apple was $550 compared to John’s $400. There was an issue with the screen after installation (small crack on corner of screen that appeared after a day of use which disabled it) probably due to manufacturer quality issue but John replaced it free of charge. Will return for future business.
A good strategy is to get the computer analyzed at Apple free of charge, then bring it to John and he will do it for cheaper and faster.
Location is left side of street. Parking is up the ramp next to All State, park on the left side of the lot for customer parking.

Was struggling for days trying to get a screw off a motherboard, John was able to fix it immediately. Great guy for anyone looking for resolving computer issues!

John helped figure out my pc problem on the spot within an hour or so. He told me my graphics card was bad so I ordered a new one and he put in the new in for me and even did a lil dust cleaning in my pc. Managed to pick his brain a bit about pc upgrades and general pc advice and he is very knowledgeable. Very professional and would definitely comeback for any future repairs.

Eventually there was too little time to have my notebook fixed here, a new screen was not in stock. However they really put an effort in trying to help me over the phone. Great service!

TLDR: Very Pricey, but fast, also gave me a slower part in the repair without telling me
Story:
Ordered the wrong part for my laptop repair, making it have half as much RAM, costing me around $500, and then asked for an additional cost of $200 to get a new motherboard, that was the correct specs, which would end up being just as much as the laptop new.

Look no further! John at SoHo is your guy. He's an incredibly friendly guy and repaired my MacBook at a reasonable price. My display broke, but he didn't have a replacement in the same color as my laptop (rose gold). He offered to replace it with the one he had, order the rose gold one, and let me use my computer with the temporary one until it arrived. He fixed it very quickly, both when he replaced it with the temporary display, and the one he ordered. 10/10 definitely recommend. When I arrived at his shop this last time, he even offered to bring it to me (his shop is upstairs). Mahalo for the A+ service John!!!!!

John is awesome! Highly recommend if you're having computer issues. He responded right away and was able to fix my cracked laptop screen. The part had to be ordered and arrived earlier than quoted. He even offered to meet me downstairs and grab my computer from me since he knew I was coming with my kids so that I didn't have to leave my car! Received a call about an hour later that it was fixed. Thank you John!!!

Our company has used Soho Computer repair a few times and he gives nothing but great service at a very reasonable price!!! He quickly diagnoses the problem and does the repairs in a timely manner. John is very personable and easy to deal with, which helps when you are frustrated with your computer that doesn't work. Highly recommend his company!!!

My 2014 Apple computer was considered “vintage” for Apple and would’ve costed me to purchase a new computer.
