Maru is amazing! I cut off all my hair last year so it was nerve racking. He made my new hair cut look amazing and I trust him fully! I search everywhere to find adichi hair coloring and I can't find it anywhere but here. I absolutely love this salon.

I asked for a retouch, but there were some areas where the roots were not dyed. I'm sorry. I should have done it myself.
Six months later, I went to get highlights, but within a month, the color had faded and a lot of the color had come out, like freshly bleached gray hair, which is really bad.
I'm surprised at how bad it is. Not recommended. I'll never come here again

I loved Sue! She paid attention to detail and was very kind. She did a great job cutting my hair and I will definitely go back to her once my hair grows out again in a year or so haha. I am definitely referring my other family members to this place! Excellent service!! ありがとう！

I chose this place because it was the only Hawaiian hair salon that had a magic menu. Valet parking is available in the hotel (valet tip is yours). Parking costs are covered if it is more than the cost of hair styling. If you cannot speak Japanese, it may be slightly inconvenient to use. You end up paying more than the amount shown online. On-site scalp spa + additional treatments, etc. (The head spa is not that refreshing...) It was a treatment I had to pay for at Cheongdam-dong, but the results were so dull that I was disappointed. My bangs are already buzzing.

I've been having haircut every time visiting Hawaii and they never disappoint me, all of the hair stylist are so professional, even my girls are their frequent customers.

I got a hair cut and quick head spa. The stylist Maru he did really good job and nice. I wouldn’t recommend quick head spa tho. It’s hard to find difference from regular shampoo.

I honestly don't know how to start this review because the overall haircut was stellar! The trip to Honolulu was to visit my cousin and my hair desperately needed a cut. I had a stylist back in my hometown but through the years, but either my hair is progressively becoming more aggressive or because I have thick hair, trimming and thinning doesn't seem to translate. Nevertheless, I opted to try in Waikiki and found Ilikai Salon. Honestly, I wanted to go to an Asian stylist who has similar hair texture (I'm part asian). Sadly I missed my appointment but was able to get in at a later date and became a satisfied customer. I showed a photo of what I wanted and explained how dense my hair was, and the stylist, Akina, tended to my needs. She was very sweet and did a superb job. So much so, I'm now in a pickle because she's here in Hawaii and I'm on the mainland. lol I had a scalp massage that nearly put me to sleep (it was lovely) and walked out feeling lighter, thankful I found this salon and took the chance. We all know it's difficult to try new stylists and also to make sure our requests are met. Well mine were met and big shout out to Akina for chopping lots of hair off with great skills.

The color was far from what I wanted, and the finish was untidy.
Same quality as self-color.
I paid 5 times the price for self-color and was disappointed with the result.
The shampoo and customer service were polite and good.

Did not feel at all welcome by reception staff.Worst and most overpriced haircut I ever had.A <10 minute dry cut with no shampoo or even water spray on my hair - $45

Just 10/10 I feel so amazing! Thanks Yoshi and team. I did the combo with scalp treatment and head massage and added pre conditioner and deep conditioner. I feel human again! Thanks Yoshi-San for spending the time to thin out my plentiful thick hair! I've already sent your business cards to all of my friends. See you again soon!

It's like a Japanese hair salon. Since I live overseas (and there are no Japanese-run salons in my area), I was glad to have my hair cut by a Japanese stylist. I was very satisfied with the finished product as I had envisioned it.

Every time I ask Daisuke for a retouch and shampoo cut. After coming to Hawaii, I was looking for a salon and finally found this place on the 3rd time. When I returned to Japan and went to a hair salon, my long-time stylist told me that this time I had had my hair cut by a skilled person, so I knew this was the place to go.
