Such a beautiful shopping center, especially the ceiling and walls made of white flowers ? it’s doubly nice that purchases are tax-free. They say the second floor will open soon. The downside is that it's hard to find parking.

Not a huge fan of the Duty Free Stores around the world! On many occasions you could have gotten a better deal elsewhere, with a little shopping awareness and diligence.

On Saturday, September 9th, I went to DFS with the intention of buying some chocolate. When I got to the cashier and was about to pay, I noticed that the price was different. I pointed it out, and the manager on duty that day insisted that the chocolate was more expensive because it was 80% cocoa. Despite all the other items on the table having the same price, they made various excuses, suggesting that someone must have changed the price. They failed to apologize and maintained their stance that they were right. This attitude is completely wrong. I couldn't help but think, "What's the point of having a manager?" It's a typical attitude often seen in Japanese managers from Nikkei. If this manager were a Japanese person, they would understand how to treat customers properly and would know the common sense of customer service. However, this DFS manager is clearly mistaken. This will only harm DFS's reputation further. I believe that if more complaints like mine are received from Japanese customers, it will have a significant impact on DFS's reputation. People who don't know how to handle customers properly will only tarnish DFS's image. From a disgruntled customer.

They went out of their way to help me get my refund, even when I lost my original receipt and already checked out of my hotel.

I was excited to see this place finally opened but it's kinda like a high-end swap meet layout.

DFS is now owned by Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy. They just reopened last week. I've been there three times. I've gotten good service the three times that I was there. They're currently running a special. You buy two pairs of sunglasses and you get 20% on both pairs. That's a really good deal, especially on the luxury ones. I was going to get a pair of Cartier and a pair of Prada sunglasses. The associate told me that she would go in the back and get me new ones. However, when she came back out she tried to give me the ones on display. She said that because they were newly open she only had one pair of each. We looked over the sunglasses. The Cartier pair had a spot on it that wouldn't come off no matter how much we rubbed at it. In the end I decided not to get it. They have many luxury make up brands in there. Estee Lauder is right in the front when you walk in. They also have Guerlain, Clinique, MAC and others. I also saw Marc Jacobs and Michael Kors. The Tory Burch section will be opening soon. They have a cafe all the way in the back called Bean About Town. They sell coffee and pastries. Their couches are comfy. It's a great place to just chill out and relax.

There's a security guard there who is racist. He said his name is joe, which sounds like a lie. He wears all black. He is a short Hawaiian guy. He assumes that people, foreign to Hawaii, are thieves and openly discriminates against them. If you question him on his racism, he will do everything possible not to answer your question. He will lie to you and tell you that he's in management. Don't be manipulated by him! Last I checked he works at the Ralph Lauren store. If he harasses you in any way, make sure you let management know immediately! His behaviour cannot be taken lightly.

This is a shopping center that you will quickly realize is only for those with a lot of disposable income. There are a lot of upper tier stores that cater to the affluent. Personally, I don't care to spend that much money on disposable goods and fashion. My wife occasionally indulges herself on a sensible handbag or shoes. That being said, it looked busy and had a lot of foot traffic. Employees appeared to be patient in the various stores. It is nice escape with the AC. Parking is paid almost anywhere. Egress is dependent on where you choose to park.
