Tamashiro Market is a fun place and a gem offering an authentic taste of Hawaii. It is a fish market with a distinct aroma, focused on fresh fish and poke in its purest form. The poke section has a great and diverse variety, including fresh ahi, aku, kajiki, scallop, octopus, and Taegu. The vegetables also look good and fresh. The market is known for very affordable and inexpensive prices, providing great value. The workers are clean, knowledgeable, and friendly. The experience is strictly grab-and-go, as it is all takeout with no place to sit, not even outside. Parking is also limited only to the front of the shop. Despite these minor inconveniences, the market brings back childhood memories and is a place many would definitely revisit.
It's been awhile since I last visited. Alot of empty shelf space . Vegetables looks good and fresh. Poke section, great variety. Fresh fish variety. Picked up hawaiian salt.
