It's been awhile since I last visited. Alot of empty shelf space . Vegetables looks good and fresh. Poke section, great variety. Fresh fish variety. Picked up hawaiian salt.

I'm really confused because this place has such good reviews. I went on a Saturday afternoon looking for fresh seafood and walked into something straight out of Gordon Ramseys kitchen nightmares. There was hardly any fish and the fish that were there were covered in flies, crab legs were frozen, and they had one lobster. The only thing that looked edible was the shrimp. I was super disappointed and disgusted.

Forget the picture-perfect poke bowls, not IG-worthy. Tamashiro Market offers a taste of poke in its purest, most authentic form. Beyond the familiar ahi, a diverse array of other fishes awaits. Here, the focus is on the fish - not fancy toppings. Glistening cubes of ahi, aku, or kajiki. It's a journey back in time, a taste of Hawaii's history in every bite, just brings back many childhood memories. Surprisingly, very affordable prices.

Fun place. Fresh and really good poke but it’s all take out and no place to sit outside either. Eat in the car kind of thing.

Oh my gosh. Poke pic no filter. New favorite poke place, and the Taegu and ginger just makes it PERFECT.

During my trip to Honolulu, Hawaii, I had the pleasure of visiting Tamashiro Market, a gem that deserves a solid 5-star rating. Firstly, the standout feature of this market is its fresh and delicious poke, offering a great variety that caters to different palates. Furthermore, the pricing is remarkably affordable, providing great value for the quality on offer. However, it's important to note that Tamashiro Market does have the distinct aroma of a fish market. This is hardly surprising, yet it's something to be mindful of before visiting. Essentially, it's part of the authentic experience.Additionally, the staff here are notably friendly, adding to the overall positive atmosphere of the market. Unfortunately, there are a couple of drawbacks. Parking is limited, available only in front of the shop, which can be a bit of a challenge. Also, there's no eat-in corner, so it's more of a grab-and-go situation. In conclusion, my experience at Tamashiro Market was thoroughly enjoyable, and it's a place I would definitely revisit on my next trip to Honolulu. The market stands out for its quality seafood, affordable prices, and friendly service, despite the minor inconveniences of limited parking and the lack of dining space.kellychan360

I love Taegu and this is one of the best I have ever had in my life. Scallop poke was so nice and fresh as well as the octopus. We ordered a quarter pound of each and paid $27. Unbeatable!

Tamashiro Market was very much no on my list of new places to try in Oahu. But when the sushi chef at the omakase restaurant tells you this is where he gets his fish, well, you pay attention quickly and head on over as soon as the opportunity arises. By this point I was pretty disgustingly full from all the food that I had been eating, so I went for an ahi onion poke bowl and blue marlin poke on the side. All I'm gonna say is...this is straight up FIRE. Of all the poke I've had on the island, this is the best...PERIOD. Staff here are really friendly! Told them we were noobs, they explained everything well. When you check out, they'll give you all the utensils and napkins you need! So yeah, I will definitely need to come back here next time I come to Oahu. Too good. Just too good!
