“AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! Ken walked me though the whole process of how to look up cards and makes sure I got the best price available!! I went to another shop that tried to RIP ME OFF so I thought I’d get a second opinion! Luckily I did! The staff was super friendly and super helpful! He even gave me a box and some cards for FREE to fill the box! Absolutely amazing experience!!! Would 100% recommend to anyone who wants to buy cards or any collectibles!!! They are super knowledgeable and they won’t try to rip you off!!!! Thanks again for all your help guys!!! MAHALO!!”

The only reason I have one stat down is because they do have some inappropriate/not kid appropriate stuff I fear, but that’s quite common for any anime store. Still of course, a great store though! I would totally recommend if your looking for stuff from your fandoms :)”
“I frequent Think Things often (I have a 7-year-old!). Every time we visit the store, I can always count on friendly banter with their employees when I am checking out. Occasionally, the store will be slow and we will talk story with Marcus, who is always very helpful when we're looking for "something"!Their selections of toys, especially ones that encourage a child's interest in STEM, is pretty decent. They also have a good amount of the toys that are trending at any given point in the year (Pokemon (figurines and cards) as well as Bakugan). I also appreciate their selection of nostalgic toys such as lava lamps and plasma balls!Their prices are higher than what you would see on Amazon or Walmart or Target; however, I can imagine they need to factor in shipping costs and their rent at Kahala Mall.I recommend checking Thinker Things out! Even if your kid doesn't find anything, you may find a piece that reminds you of your childhood!”

“Just ran across this store today. It's a little tucked in and can easily miss it but the store worker was very nice and knowledgeable about the various cards. Recently began collecting pokemon cards and I got some good information and the price for the cards were reasonable.”
“Fun little tabletop game hobbyist store. Lots of selection from obscure games to Warhammer 40k paints/figurines. The staff was super friendly and you can tell there are many people who enjoy this location because a large card tournament was happening outside the store. Overall, great experience!”

The main review:
The selection was a bit small because of the size of rental space and their main reputation is being a local source to ship products from out of the island to the local customer base at the island, but their prices were very fair and very helpful, especially their supplier is from the mainland US that gets their items from Japan would cost them heavily with the shipping fees. So when they ever mention about the fact that they’ll be fair with the prices and take hits on any loss of profit for the customer to enjoy a good deal is true.
The staff are not just nice and welcoming, but they are knowledgeable enough about the Gunpla kits they sell (it was cool that even one of them was wearing a 08 MS team shirt lol) and one of the few stores that not only sell gunplas, but also a WW2 Tabletop series “Bolt-Action” (a turn-based table-top strategy WW2 game, pretty fun to get into) where they were REALLY excited and well knowledgeable about when informing me about the Bolt-Action series and the local Bolt-Action events they go to at the island. All of their staff are die-hard fans of the Bolt-Action series.
(Side note, one of their staff had their playlist playing Company of Heroes 2 ost and the Band of Brothers ost. Nice touch.)
They mainly known to have their customer base locally trust them with shipment and handling from third-party sources with good and fair deals. They’re also known to be the lowkey Gunpla store locally due to their store location.

“A really cool shop with a nice selection of toys, comics, cards and so on. The items are fairly priced and there are many bargains. The staff is very helpful and wholesome. I definitely recommend visiting this shop. My visit was a great experience which I wont forget.”
“Re: gunpla. Fun store to browse and worth browsing for some harder to find standard release, like EZak and Flauros and a Dendrobium(!!!!). Unfortunately, for us tourists, prices include “island tax” (extra cost for importing), so about 50% higher than common prices on the mainland.”

“Went in to buy some Pokemon singles for my daughter. The initial person I talked to didn't seem terribly helpful, but he did pass me off to someone who helped me use their in-store inventory tablet that seemingly connects to their TCG player singles storefront.I really liked this setup as it was relatively easy to get cards from various sets. This salesperson, Daniel, was very patient with us and was very kind to my daughter as I helped her pick out her cards.Every time we visit Oahu, we'll be back!”

“Kawaii Kingdom at the Market City location. They have an awesome selection of trendy merchandise. From La Bubu to Anime and everything in between. Staff were friendly and very efficient. Moderately priced merchandise. Our friends with kids were going crazy in there. Some were playing with the claw machines at the front of the store. Others were exploring the expansive merchandise selections.”

“Got LEGOs at Ala Moana Shopping Center. You can get a small box of assorted Legos for $9.99 or a large box for $19.00. The staff is very attentive and so friendly! The store is spotless clean! I made stands for my cellphone and tablet! After I shopped there I went to Musubi Cafe at the Food court and also bought manapua at the Manapua Stand.”
