I’m grateful for the Walgreens pharmacy on S Beretania. The drive-thru is very convenient and it’s in a great location. The pharmacists are knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. When calling, it’s nice to be able to get through to a pharmacist consistently, unlike other pharmacies.

Matt went above and beyond to assist me with my prescription questions. He called my doctor to verify dosage and confirm how my medication should be administered and followed up with me the following day. I was so impressed and appreciative!

Had to call 8 times because the tech kept hanging up on me without even speaking. I tried to fill a prescription and since the brand name wasn't recognized by them they refused to fill even when I asked for generic alternatives (the mixture contains Ambroxol, Guaifenesin, and Terbutaline and apparently Walgreens does not carry any single one of those products in liquid form in the state of Hawaii according to the pharmacist) They told me to go to a Longs without verifying if any other Walgreens had the products (which I asked for). Subpar customer service even by Walgreens standards. This is by far the worst technician I have ever spoken to. Extremely rude, dismissive and with no empathy.
Edit: spoke to a very helpful gentleman at Store #11118 who kindly explained that Walgreens does not compound in Hawaii and gave me several options for our situation.

The pharmacy is a mess. I received another patient's meds, that included strong painkillers. The tech asked for my ID, which I was thought was odd as I was picking up antibiotics. She literally looked at my ID, then went ahead and gave me another patient's (with a sort of similar sounding last name-not remotely spelled alike) medications, one was a strong dose of oxycodone and the other was xanax! When I told the tech what she just did, she was SO RUDE , as if it was my fault. Can you imagine if I just took them, then the actual patient came to get their meds? I expect the tech would be fired, rightly so..super dangerous.
Rude staff, they actually lie to you about having meds in stock, communication with Dr and their attitude is absolute crap.

Pharmacists and all staff are always professional,curtious and most helpful. I have been with them since they opened and have been completely satisfied.MAHALO!

This pharmacy really sucks here. 1 cashier, needs help and none of those dudes help! Just makes the customer wait! Bad customer service!

I have been refused my Suboxone prescription because my wallet was stolen and I don’t have any ID I have a picture of the front and the back of my ID. I am attaching the law as it states if the patient does not have proper identification, the pharmacist can identify them in another way here is the code HRS § 329-41(a)(6)I will be contacting ombudsman about this

Excellent pharmacy but,be warned, if you need a refill on a controlled substance, it will not transfer from the mainland.

I had a great experience at the pharmacy. I've tried booking the latest covid shot at Longs and other places with very little luck and with the options of weeks later or at the locations on the other side of the Island. I was told by Longs to not even bother with walk-in because they won't accommodate it or at another location was told that it might be 2+ hours if even that. I called Walgreens and they told me that they'd try to accommodate walk-ins best they can, which is all I wanted. I got there around 4pm and was out the door with my vaccination by 4:25. Very happy with the service.
