Snagged two lessons while visiting family. I’m new to the sport and learned so much over the course of two hours. I’m headed home with lots of great drills to practice and tips to elevate my skating. Willy recognized each and every gain, no matter how small. This, paired with his unyielding positive stoke helped me learn new skills and conquer fears like dropping in. Can’t wait to return.

Uncle Willy is phenomenal with our groms and each time we visit O’ahu from Outer Islands they ask to come in and drop into a lesson with him! The vibe and ambience of Sunset Skates is incredible— it is an uplifting space celebrating keiki and an incredible place to learn and send it! Highly recommend Sunset Skates!

Highly recommend this place. My husband and I booked a private lesson and had such a great time we came back later in the day to skate around again. Willy's instruction is friendly, affordable, personal, and top notch. He'll cater to your experience level and get you tackling your goals in no time! Sunset Skates is amazing. I was inspired by how much fun the kids were having and how fast they were picking up skating- all due to Willy’s instruction. I haven’t touched a skateboard in 20 years (I’m 42), and never was a big skater when I was younger, but after an hour of world class, professional and patient instruction in the bowl, Willy had me understanding the fundamentals. I recommend Sunset Skates for all ages!

Awesome skatepark! Great setup on the ground floor and sick bowl upstairs! Willy is an awesome teacher and great resource! Got me back up and skating again, dropping in and trying new tricks all in one session!

Never skateboarded in my life. GF and I got some liquid courage at the beer garden next door and had an awesome hour lesson with Willy. Highly recommend! You may find yourself fearlessly dropping down a ramp within an hour! I (almost) did, haha.

Our kids went here while on vacation and skateboarded for the first time! It was so welcoming and they got great tips. Plenty of boards and pads for the kids. A must go whether local or visiting! It will wear your kiddos out in the best of ways :)

I’m at a point in skateboarding where I feel like I’m really comfortable on the board and can even do some tricks, but I’m still intimidated by large bowls and half pipes. I’m glad there’s a place like sunset skates in my area that is welcoming to beginner and more advanced skaters. This is my go to skate spot now!!!

Did a private lesson and willie was super helpful and led me step by step until I could reach my goal of dropping in. Awesome experience and the price was more than fair.
