I don't suggest getting your glasses here. I got a pair that didn't quite feel right. I brought them back in and three different attendants checked the lenses and got three different results for the prescription. They couldn't even agree between themselves on whether it was right or wrong. To make things worse, In order to get them corrected to the right prescription, they would have had to send the glasses back in to wherever they make them, which would have left me without glasses for two weeks. I asked the attendant: "what am I supposed to do for two weeks? Stumble around without glasses?" and his reply was "that's up to you." I said "how am I supposed to work? how am I supposed to drive without glasses?" and he answered "you'll find a way." Understand that without glasses, I am virtually blind as a bat.The best they could do was to suggest that I purchase and pay - at full price - for a second pair to wear while the first one was being fixed. As if by that point I had any confidence left at all that the second pair would come out right. I am taking my business elsewhere, and I suggest that you do too.

I've been using Costco for eye care for at least the last 25 years but as of the last couple years their customer service has really taken a dive. Maybe they're understaffed, because interactions with employees are almost always rushed and they seem stressed out. I recently changed jobs and they don't accept my new insurance, which I'm sure is not the fault of any individual at this specific location but for some reason the guy I spoke to had a rude tone when I asked about it. He was dismissive and all but said he'd never heard of the insurance company. I work for a huge company so I find that hard to believe but regardless I didn't need his attitude. I'm done with Costco optical. Time to find a local optician who will treat me like my business is appreciated.

I lost my perscription glasses during our trip and was desperate to get contacts. The staff stayed past closing hours and went above and beyond to restart their equipment, test my eyes, and get me contacts so I could enjoy the rest of my trip and actually see! The staff were very friendly and kind. And pricing was very reasonable.

I recently had my eyes examined by Dr. Krysta Landas and Kao, and I must say that it was an excellent experience. From the moment I walked into the office, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and professional, and I was seen promptly at my scheduled appointment time.During the examination, Dr. Landas and Kao were thorough and attentive. They took the time to listen to my concerns and answer all of my questions. They were also very knowledgeable and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. The equipment used during the examination was state-of-the-art, and I felt confident that I was getting the most accurate results. Dr. Landas and Kao were able to identify an issue with my eyes that I was not even aware of, and they provided me with a treatment plan that has already made a significant improvement in my vision.Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Krysta Landas and Kao for anyone in need of an eye examination. They are professional, knowledgeable, and truly care about their patients. I will definitely be returning to their office for all of my future eye care needs.

Purchased eyeglasses and returned to have replacement tinted lenses. Their Lab twisted and cracked the plastic designer frames' one arm. I understand mistakes happen. I was very upset because I would miss my flight to Mainland because of this damage. My health condition causes my eyes to be light sensitive. The salesperson was nice and she brought me to the Manager. He was a bully and told me that the arm wasn't cracked ( he said he couldn't see a crack. I suggested he run his finger nail along the frame to feel the crack. The crack will catch on my hair and pull it out. The then told me nothing could be done and what did I expect, the frames were old anyway, too old to be replaced. I was promised that they would search for another frame. I waited a few days and returned to find out that he was no longer the Manager and no search for the frame. How do I complain to Costco Optical Hdqtrs?

Great service! You will be thrilled with your eye exam and a new pair of eye glasses. Staff are super friendly and fast. I got my glasses in less than a week and they are so much better than the pair I bought a long time ago. Lehua was patient and helped me pick out a complimentary pair. Both my husband and I enjoyed the kind and smart folks that helped us. You can also save big bucks by going there instead of a boutique eye glasses store. Ask which are on sale and you will be pleasantly pleased. Walk-ins only for new eye glasses with a prescription but you may be able to call for an appointment for your eye exam. Great experience- do I need to say more?

Costco is that one dependable friend that provides you with affordable necessities when everyone else robs you with exorbitant prices. However, the set up for this particular Costco made parking and shopping incredibly slow. Located next to the airport, this was an excellent first stop for bottled water and basic groceries. A portion of the parking lot was shaded by solar panels and the spaces themselves were clean and large. However, the way the roads were formatted and carts were placed, traffic would get held up because of a strange bend or turn in the road. Employees also took their time with replacing carts and we had an incident where they just blocked off a corner of the parking lot with carts. As for the interior, sections of the building were rather run down. The dairy section had two doors, with one being blocked off hastily with tape. Random stacks of products blocked the aisles and items were randomly placed on top of each, making each removal an unwarranted game of Jenga. On the bright side, their rotisserie chicken was still juicy and $5. Bottled water here was probably the cheapest on the island. Lines were long but they moved fast. By Costco standards, this location was mediocre but I'd still take a meh Costco over the standard store any day of the week.

Thankfully this is just around the corner from the airport. You'll want to load up with groceries and other supplies, because Maui is expensive. Their liquor is stupid cheap, even cheaper than in NC.

Quality/Quantity - This was our 5 star go-to Costco, but not on this visit. I literally did not get anything I was craving on this trip. And it felt like nothing was on sale. And of course, everything was Hawaiian prices... Which is to be expected. Was craving a better selection of local beer, guess I will just get it from Safeway and Foodland... and yes, I will have to pay more for them. Was craving the giant ono shrimp chips, but it was not here either. Finally bought on my 5/29 visit and it was very underwhelming especially for $11!!! Was craving some Hawaiian snacks that are not available on the mainland, none here today that matched my craving... Atmosphere - Consistent, the food court is outdoor at this location. Bakery, Deli, Produce, Meat, Pharmacy, Tire center, Hearing Aids, etc. Food Court, Gas Station. Independent Optometrist & Optical Department. Service - Good. Price - Hawaiian prices, expect to pay more. The cost of a case of water was almost $10 including bottle fee and tax. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since 1995. Congrats on all your success since 1976, since Price Club. Now you are the 5th largest retailer in the world and #10 on the Fortune 500. 804 warehouses worldwide, with 558 in the US. 1980 IPO. 1993 Price Club and Costco merger. 1997 Rebrand all locations to Costco. 2020 105.5 million members.

The good: My family drove 50 minutes on our vacation to see this Costco and it was worth the drive. We were able to get a lot of local Maui/Hawaiian products as souvenirs here like papaya ($2/each), furikake popcorn, and fish jerky. They also sell lots of macadamia nut snacks, poke, giant rice bag-sized bags of panko bread crumbs, fresh li hing pineapple and more Hawaiian-esque items. It's also a great spot to get outdoor summer gear like sunblock, paddle board, surf board, snorkeling gear, sarongs ($8), Hawaiian shirts $19.99) and Hawaiian-printed dresses for kids. My mom was excited to see them sell a giant bag of pine nuts. It was an item they used to sell at our San Jose, CA but that we haven't seen in a long time. They also sell a large bag of furikake here for a great price ($21 I think). The flower section also has many local flowers like orchids and tropical colorful plants. The bad: They didn't have any pineapple (except for already cut up pineapple with li hing). The interesting: There are a lot of free-roaming chicken outside in the parking lot. The parking lot also has solar panel overhangs to keep the cars shades. I've never seen a Costco with shaded parking before!

This is a must to stop at a Costco in Hawaii, especially Maui so you can get your essentials for the trip. They also have a gas station here too which came in convenient for refilling the tank on our rental vehicle. They have a bunch of Hawaiian macadamia nut chocolates in the best bulk prices but sadly I didn't purchase any of them here. The best deal I was excited about was the 2 pack of floral leis for $12.99. That's literally the cheapest price for leis compared to the airports and online tourist booking for lei arrivals. I originally booked 2 leis for $35 when it's already more than half off for it here. We also picked up whiskey, shorts and almost breakfast pastries but we knew better than we couldn't finish all those croissants or muffins in 5 days LOL.

This is the only Costco on the island and best gas prices as well! The crowds are very light, and parking not too bad. The main thing I noticed were there are Hawaii specific items available here. Most of the Hawaiian specific items are fruit related, but the snacks are generally healthy and delicious. I wish we could bring these items home, but am perfectly happy eating these while on vacation!
