Mel and Joe are absolutely great. As owners of a very professional and creative salon, they excel at fulfilling customers' needs and wishes, and they go above and beyond as thoughtful people. I love going into the salon, and the hair work is the best I have experienced. Color is nicely done and low chemical treatment is available. Cuts are stylish and consistent. I have been having monthly services at Evolution Salon for five years and I highly recommend them. My husband also gets great haircuts at Evolution Salon. They also have great esthetic services available.

Refused my mom's request to replicate a haircut someone else had done for her. All she wanted was for her bangs to be cut short. We showed the hairstylist a photo and he proceeded to cancel my my mom's appointment while she was there for it and kick her out. Saying he refuses to take her request and let her walk around with his work on display as something he doesn't approve of. This was Joseph, the owner of the shop apparently. He told me to go to any hair salon and he bet not even the beauty school would agree to do what she wanted. Supercuts did what she wanted about 30 minutes later.

Amazing first time experience with Joseph. I’ve never had another hairdresser as good as him, so calm, relaxed and knew how to properly handle a client with being so gentle, I’ve had numerous other hairdressers and none of them have been as gentle and caring as Joseph was. I am truly blown away with the care I received and my hair came out beautiful.

I've been to many hair stylists on this island and have never gotten a better hair cut than with joe at evolution salon! He's very personable, easy going, and does a great job every time! He always makes sure your preferences before cutting any hair and does it exactly how you'd like. I even sent my grandma to him and got no complaints! Evolution salon is a clean and happy environment that I definitely recommend.

Incredible haircut every time by Joseph, I won't go anywhere else now. Perfect layers, body and not too short just like I always ask. :) Very pleased with the prices still and this time I even bought some shampoos that smell amazing. I met the other owner Mel and she is super nice too! Thank you guys for being so warm and welcoming!

Stephanie from Evolution Salon is the best hairdresser me and my 40 year old mom have ever been to. Did me and my moms hair in under 3 hours. Beautiful natural highlights. SO thankful to have found Stephanie, she doesnt overcharge like other salons who charge 250 for partial highlights! Stephanie can do it all and is so affordable! Best hairdresser on Maui!

Evolution salon is the best! The Salon is super clean and spacious with many tropical plants. The owner stylist Joe seems to know what style, length, color looks good and work best with his client. My balayage and hair cut came out gorgeous!! He is like a magician! I highly recommend Evolution salon!

This was the best haircut I've ever received! My first time going to a legit Salon too and I was absolutely blown away by the kindness, attention to detail and comfortable atmosphere. I asked for lots of long layers, body and not too short, being very picky. I received exactly what I asked for and am extremely pleased with the price I paid too! Thank you so much Joe!♡
