10:30 PM on Thursday night and they're closed! I know I've been here before 11 and they were open. They're usually closed by 11:30

Safeway Express helped me fuel up the rental car before I jetted off the island. Lowest gas price on island at $4.35 per gallon ( what a deal ). Yes a multi vehicle bay with plenty of pumps for fill up ( 3 cars deep ) on each side. And from the looks it had a snack shop for eats & treats for the other fellow drivers filling up.I'm pleased with the prices and location so if you looking for the last place to fill up before dropping your automobile off well this is the location for you. Well, for gas that is!

Pumps operate half speed, plan on spending 10 to 15 minutes pumping for a full tank. Usually half the pumps are out of order and there is a big line. One time I wanted to pump gas and there was no premium available on any of the pumps. Please do a better job Safeway.

I've been using this station since it opened as we worked out with Safeway points it was cheaper than Costco. We fill our vehicles and our employers vehicles here, even though we live on the west side. Wish they had actually built the gas station in Lahaina Safeway they were rumored to build. There are always long lines as it is the cheapest gas on island, but worth the wait as you can get a big discount with points. We always pay at the pump as it saves time since the line in the shop can take time, on top of waiting in line for gas. We have seen it all here...people crashing into the pump, a lady who sang karaoke and entertained the whole gas station while pumping her gas, fist fights, cars being pushed in after running out of gas, you name it we've seen it waiting in line :)Our last visit was unfortunately annoying for us as the forecourt attendant was being extremely pushy, hurrying people up, and knocking on windows if she thought you were taking too long. We have never experienced this before. Hubbs had filled the car and was filling a gas container when she came over and yelled at us to get moving and knocked on the window! RUDE! Hubby tried to tell her he was filling a gas can but she just shouted at him to move. Unfortunate that Safeway Express are employing rude staff to irritate customers and harass them while they pump gas. If this continues Costco looks like a good alternative. Please, give customers time to pump gas before you start shouting at them.....they are the ones keeping you in business!

Apparently everyone comes here on the way to the airport and after work. It was packed when we went to get gas on our way back to the airport. The prices are not bad (relatively) but boy does it get crowded. If you are in a time crunch you may have to look elsewhere or plan ahead for the extra time at the pump.

I don't know what's going on with the other gas stations because Safeway Express gas prices are the best on maui. I drive from the other side of the island where I live just to fill gas here. The other day the price was two dollars cheaper then where I live. The other gas station just reaping off the people.

Recently while visiting Maui I had a misadventure early one morning. While sitting in my rented car planning my day I left the headlights on. The battery went dead. I ran over to Safeway Express looking to purchase jumper cables. With no one to jump my battery for me, without hesitation, the Safeway Express manager offered to come over (about a football field away) and give me a jump. Not only that, she went to her office and got her portable jump starter so I didn't have to purchase. This store manager was so so nice! She literally walked me back to my car with a smile on her face, great conversation and assured me that it was no problem whatsoever. That was my first morning in Maui and was indicative of the people of Maui that I was sure to cross paths with the rest of my stay. Everyone there was kind and welcoming just like that Safeway Express manager that morning. Thank you so much for your kindness! You really set the tone for a wonderful visit to your most beautiful island and you are much appreciated. Mahalo!

Needed to fill up our rental car before returning it to the airport rental agency. Stopped at this convenient Safeway Express gas station.Plenty of pumps available (3 per island area) and a small convenience store also.Had accumulated 50 cents off per gallon being a Safeway card member also. Nice perk at this gas station. Will definitely visit again.

If you shop at Safeway and you should they have everything you need and if they don't if you ask they will stop stop it then you can use your Safeway rewards points at Fairfield station chin across the parking lot where I paid $3.89 a gallon when gas was selling for $5.49 a gallon

Good. Cheaper gas. Always busy and has to wait. I think they need an extra cashier so there's no line of waiting.

Long lines, but cheapest gas on Maui. Costco gas is usually the same price as here.
