Wasted $100 to get a package sent to HI, and was told for a week it’ll be delivered to the recipient, including update on app that it’s on hold for delivery - had another hour hold after work or waiting, and told it’s been sent back to me with no refund.Never again!

After the fires in Lahaina the west side was wiped out with phone and internet coverage so we ordered a Starlink to be sent to our friend's address in Kihei so we could hopefully pick it up once the road opened again as UPS Fedex and USPS were not delivering. We desperately needed internet for remote workers in our area, plus everyone on the street needed to connect with families to let them know they were OK, and for people trying to find out how to file with FEMA for accommodation, sign onto unemployment as they had lost their jobs due to the fire, how to access medical care including cancer patients etc. So a lot was riding on the delivery of this Starlink for our local community.Trouble is UPS said the address was undeliverable, even though our friends have packages delivered all the time without issue. So I managed to drive up high even though we were getting short on gas by now and find cell coverage to call UPS and get through to their automated system, then an agent. After explaining what was happening the agent told me to go online! The frustration of dealing with a call centre was endless. We should download the app on our phone if internet was down. It was ridiculous and unhelpful. Calls were being dropped all the time, you couldn't download anything and you had to travel a long way for reception. Once the road opened up I drove the hour and a half through FEMA roadblocks and through Lahaina down to the Kahului airport office to find it closed even though it was supposed to be open. I had to yell through the fence to get help. A staff member grudgingly came over to state they were closed. I told them we desperately needed the Starlink and it was supposed to be in their office. They said they were busy but I insisted they look for it, and after standing in the sun for 20 minutes waiting I was told it was out on a truck, marked as undeliverable. This was Friday and I was told to come back Monday! There was no empathy to the fact that we desperately needed this link for our community during a disaster.On Monday I received a call that it was in the office and I could pick it up. Luckily the call got through as phone service is still patchy on the west side and it had gone to answer phone so I managed to receive it. Again I drove through FEMA roadblocks and bumper to bumper traffic through Lahaina past distressing areas of burned out buildings and cars. I also had to wait an hour stationary at one point as the President was visiting Lahaina and traffic was stopped during this exercise. When I arrived at the UPS it was closed again, so I had to yell through the chainlink fence to staff who initially ignored me until they knew I wasn't going to stop! I told them I had a package to pick up and was told to wait. A few other people arrived asking what to do as they had packages to pick up, including medication and food. They all ended up yelling through the fence too. Finally a staff member came through carrying my Starlink. She was abrupt and handed it over and walked away. By this time I didn't care about the lack of customer service or anything else I just wanted to get home and install it so our street could use it!We have now opened up our garage as an office and shared the sign on/password and have neighbours dropping by to use it for remote work, signing onto unemployment, contacting family, a realtor has even brought over her own desk and chair :) UPS was horrid to deal with but I'm glad I persevered as we now have satellite internet connection while west Maui has no internet service.

Shout out to the UPS workers and driver who delivers to the Pukalani area! I was expecting a parcel during the time when it was storming but was pleasantly surprised when I found my parcel wrapped in a plastic bag safe and sound in my garage! I know it took extra time to do this so mahalo UPS for going above and beyond to keep my items safe and dry!!!

The customer service center called to tell me they didn’t have my unit number. I checked the invoice and it was there. So, the package didn’t get delivered timely even though almost $100 was paid for faster delivery. A rep called to inform me they would deliver 3 days later. I politely let her know that was unacceptable since I paid to have it delivered. She then hung up on me. Customer service is dead.

Their app is not accurate. Does not tell when package comes in. I called the office several times in a 2 week period to see if it was there, because it was a 2 day delivery. Was told it wasn't, and they would call me. Finally I called, she said it was there, went to office, they said they sent it back because they didn't have my phone number, they had it for 8 days. So next time I will call, call, call, go,go,go to the office and make sure. It took them about 15 minutes locate my information, another 10 to see it was gone

Directions are wrong on google - had to 7.99 to have my package sent 10 miles from my house when their is a ups store less than 1/2 mile from my apartment

Rude and won't give my packages to me and sends them back. Should fire the ones working in trailer at airport. I strongly recommend not using them if at all possible until they remember how to do their job and get packages to the receiving customer and not send back to sender!

First of all, they tried to make the delivery on the wrong day (when we were not home). Then they told us to pick up the package in Kihei. We went to Kihei and they told us Kahului. Kahului told us Kihei. Then we finally found out it had been in Kahului the whole time but at the Customer Service Center, not the UPS store. Their systems are horrible and the workers were nice, but clueless.

The girl at the UPS counter did not like my older mask, she decided it was not thick enough, so she decided not to give me my packages. Meanwhile not one employee their at UPS had a mask on. Of course I pointed that out, she didn't care. Luckily the NICE lady behind me gave me one of her masks and said "try this." I finally got my packages. Thank you to the nice lady. I don't care that the employees had no masks on, maybe they were all vaccinated. It was just a rude and horrible experience. I gave a one star rating just for that one time experience. I give a 5 star rating to Maui UPS over all because every employee that delivers packages to our shop is absolutely charming and full of aloha.
