I came here for the penny machine. Nevertheless, the owner (?) lady was so friendly and helpful when we asked for some change for the machine. So many penny machines seem to have been discontinued now. Bless them for keeping the machine going. Mahalo. :)

The sales lady, Kalua, was incredibly friendly and hospitable. She shared her vast collection of pennies, state quarters, and miscellaneous souvenirs. I was captivated by her stories and her knowledge of coin history, and souvenir penny machine. She explained how pennies made before 1982 still maintain a faint impression of Lincoln Memorial after getting smashed, but newer pennies containing more zinc leave no trace of an imprint. I bought a picture frame, lucky frogs, and a souvenir turtle sculpture made out of seashells.
